Yes. Cat lived with me 16 years. Died couple of years ago.
Get lynx, grow it, and we will talk about it few years later.
Lynx is not cats for sure. There are a lot of things you need to know to have them as family or friend. First of all, they greet family members by hitting with them by foreheads. They like when you keep them by tail

No, I have a pretty exact imagination of what things I consider tasteful to show off or own should one be able to afford them. A wild cat or some gold jewelry definitely is not a part of that.
I hate gold as wealth and things did from it. I think its just a metal with nice conductivity and non-corrosion. Very nice connectors for stereo done from it

Everybody have his not-tasteful show off list. If we will be judging by most cityzens of earth, then all of people here, is showing wealth, because they have computers at home

Does it sleep next to you in bed at night :3?
Yes, but not always

I can't even own a dog because I simply cannot devote enough time to him/her. An exotic cat needs way more attention and care than a dog. It also cannot be left behind when you go on vacation and no pet motel will take it and I doubt your friends will care for it.
A lynx would need a room of it's own (shit my house doesnt even have enough bedrooms so my kids can have their own), you'd need two separate cages - one for inside one for outside. A lot of training would have to be done. All that requires a LOT of time and effort. If you are willing to devote your life to your exotic cat then go for it and more power to you.
But how are you going to go to work and make money to take care of it if you have to spend ton of time with the cat ... it's just a lot of responsibility that not everyone can take.
I am not saying Koya is irresponsible or doesnt provide enough care/time to his lynx but there are people out there that get exotics for all the wrong reasons and that is what irritates me.
That lynx was born, to became a coat, for wealthly people... it was born to grow and die... no freedom was in plans, just death. I could never take an lynx from wild, no matter how much I wanted it.
This kitty have its 30+ sq meters room, with some furniture to jump around. Still its allowed to run around a house.
Yes I am going at work, I don't plan to go on vacation for next year, because she will be too small to stay without me. Still I have relatives whom she knows and also trust. I know that they can take care when I'm away.
If you wanna live interesting life - sleep less... spend less time chatting at facebook, work more effective. Such things as social networks, take fuckin tonn of time, because if you have 50 friends, and keeping contacts with them takes 5 min a day each, then all 50 spend 3 hours a day, just writing to chat few words with each other.
