Since it uses stamina, not much but enough you notice you become more hungry as you move. It makes sense its a way to say you are getting hungry. Standing around does not do that, but most actions use stamina and in turn make you hungry.

The rate in which it does could be looked at, but people already want the best foods just in-mass.

reducing the rate would making botting even better. The relationship has to be removed or completly changed. if you wanted the relationship to stay, then increasing hunger would be a better route to go. iam not sure if you have ever ate cubbords of food before, but when a person bots they just afk and walk away from their computer and their character will drain their stamina and eat their food for them. Meanwhile someone like me has to manually drain my stamina for hours and eat manually. So if you decreased the rate it would take double/tripple the time for me to eat, making botting even more worth while. removing the relationship would make botting a non issue as people would be hungry at relatively the same rate. large scale botters can have 20+ cubbords of food that they eat all in 1 night and then play normally during the day. That same task would takes me days to do manually during the day and i have to stop doing other tasks to accomplish it.

i use bot cause most task are boring. And cause they help raising quality.

You don't have to do those tasks, unless you want to compete with other botters in quantities, this is the point.

Out of curiosity do you know what top quality carrot is at right now? Although I'm sure others have already done this or are doing it as well, If I recall correctly Alg was doing some rounds of bot harvesting on some big ass carrot field almost every day and though I don't want to give away what he got to last I was aware in case it actually ends up being good, I'm just curious to know whether or not what he managed to get with botting ONLY may have ended up being top quality at the time.

Edit: Due to delayed/lack of response, I am going to assume current top quality ranges somewhere from 1000 - 1100. I believe he was able to reach 1000+ with minimal to almost no effort (timespan unknown but it was relatively short, I'd say a few weeks to around a month) through bot use over a single large field. (One of those circles ones perhaps) To me this sounds like a short amount of time though I'll leave a comparison to someone else who may have actually achieved similar progress through manual effort.

Sorry for delay, something is wrong with my internet, couldn't load shit.
I stopped tracking couple of months ago, but it was already past 1000 back then, so now it should be around 1200.
With huge field you can get a few carrots of higher quality, but you're loosing too much time replanting it, especially since you need a bot, which places seeds to containers first and replants only when the whole field is done. The best way to win seeds quality race is to make a bot, which will harvest 16 tiles field of carrot every ~9h and then sort and replant it only after all the seeds are gathered.

Oh now I understand, I thought the way current scripts worked was to farm > store > plant best quality rather than farm > plant best quality in inventory > farm > repeat. I don't see how that would be a very difficult change to make however but yeah I was confused.

just because he says its that way doesn't mean thats the way it is. Most major villages would farm > store > plant. grapefruit probably just ran a simple public script that works in any situation, meaning his bot doesn't need to know where the LC is or where the building with cabinets is and requires you to be to be online to trigger it. Major villages code their own clients and make their own scripts and run their macros 24/7 without them needing to be at the computer.

I don't use bots and I know and talk to lots of people to know who owns best things and that majority is using old farming script for union or it's varieties, which plants the best seed it has in inventory at the moment and drops the worse, when inventory is full. Even top factions are mostly too lazy to make a setup with always empty containers for fields the size of beehive radius. Never said other kinds of farming bots don't exist and the kind with container is pretty old, but they are less popular and without timer added are same as manual replanting, i.e. won't help you to beat non-botter in quality race. I can recall a lot of people, which could create such bot and maybe even did, but they don't have top quality crops for whatever reason (botters tend to get bored faster, or they don't care about race, or they don't do farming, or they joined late, or...). You can hear "Hurr durr my friend has win the game button in his sikrit client" stories too often in this game to take it serious without any proofs.

yep - antibotting measures should be no high value in HnH 2.0 development but making a lot of tasks less tedious i.e.with farming 100+ buy "Bunch Farming" Skill or the like ...

Can i haz longer steel fuel time plz ?!? 8-)

Bigger ovens with more slots ?!?

Namefield for Keyrings ?!?

Better Villagemanagement ?!?

ok ok i don't care for "Endgame" ;)

Its foolish to imagine a MMO that doesn't have grind, it just doesn't exist.

Planetside 2.

Also, I'm talking about bots not because they're the problem, but because they're the biggest symptom of the grind problem.

I like ps2 alot but technically it has more grind than most mmo's, in terms of maxing. in terms of becoming competitive than yeah you are from the get go.

dayz has no grind, its not massively multiplayer. but h1z1 will be and I don't think that will have levels. I think we are gona see whole new sub genre of mmo without level/exp grind.
