I ignored this comment because you offered nothing to back it up besides your statement... and last time i checked Connecticut and Vermont are doing fine. Michigan had the problem of believing a manufacturing process using people instead of machines would last forever. More a problem with forward thinking then in unions. Also what sectors are the growth in, how many people is it actually employing. these are the things that apply to this argument because just that the economy has "exploded" have nothing to do with the worker and much more to do with the business.

I am well aware that I can get into trouble for speaking my mind.

-------------------------------

It is a sign of a troubled culture that you people cannot entertain a serious debate on much anything without becoming indignant, irate, and without throwing around accusations of hidden agendas and secret motives, or without going into the bends over how I am an evil person and how you must "seriously reconsider your previously warm and brotherly feelings", or without gasping off into sotto voce of how "you never knew", and "who could have known", as if I had committed some grave and serious sin that dare not speak its name.

It doesn't matter how many times I assert that I carry no malice toward anyone. It is as if the words have no meaning.

Why do you -- who boast of and present yourselves as the guardians and paragons of the values of tolerance, compassion and open and healthy debate -- reduce yourselves to pathetic and helpless cries of "Witch!" at the first sight of serious challenge to your dogmas? AND WHY IS THIS ALWAYS THE CASE!? WHY DO LIBERALS ALWAYS CALL FUCKING WITCH-HUNTS EVERYTIME YOU TRY TO DEBATE THEM ON A SERIOUS TOPIC!? How do you always manage to make the transition from "wrong" to "evil" so lightly?

These are attempts at intimidation, not discussion, and most certainly not a discussion among friends, and also a prime example of why liberalism is so dangerous, and why it poses such an enormous threat to the social harmony and fabric of the West, and precisely why we must firmly labor to root it out through love, compassion and every angel of a better nature.

I indeed, burgingham, have nothing to say to you. Arguing is entirely futile when I don't see any common ground on which to construct arguments, and that frankly makes me very sad.

I believe I've made myself clear enough. Suffice it to say that I stand by every word, and take nothing back.

Nos vemos.

You have a bad habit of thinking you're the smartest person in the room Jorb. Just because it's your game and forum, you shouldn't make that mistake. I recommend going into a discussion with an open mind, thinking that everyone else is more intelligent than you are. It gives you the ability to learn new things and be open to new ideas. It also gives you the ability to see arguments for what they are, open discussions that change the belief of the masses. Arguing against your ideas with my ideas over the last 3 months has made me realize that more and more. Your ideas of libertarianism, christian theology and your opinions against egalitarianism need to be challenged as unacceptable and outside of modern society and culture.

jorb wrote:....over how I am an evil person and how you must "seriously reconsider your previously warm and brotherly feelings"

Your ideas are outside of the mainstream, Jorb. That's why people say things like that. Their expectations of you were diminished by your words and ideas. Your ideas against equality and against modern views of homosexuality and feminism are "evil", in their way Jorb. They may not be directly attacking anybody in your mind, but they are attacking the ideas of equality for those persons. You may argue for a simpler time of "The Old Order", but for many people here that means suppression of their rights as women, minorities, or homosexuals in this new world, and also a belief in anti-immigration/anti-muslim aspects to modern Swedish culture.

I think we've had a great debate here, and I've learned many new things. People's opinion of you has changed Jorb, and your ideas have been challenged. I hope you understand why.

How in the hell did we get on chickens and what they eat for 3 pages.
For those of you not in on Jorb's little quip about what chickens eat versus other birds.

Matthew 6:24 wrote:No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Matthew 6:26 wrote:Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

If it wasn't that, then more coincidence remain to be seen in this world than I can explain, and you need to see more gray's Jorb.

Flame wrote:Are you asking that someone describes to you all the reasons that make people think that you have so much to learn?

But, Flame, I know the insides and outsides of every argument you could ever present? I have grown up with them and been completely immersed in a culture that promotes nothing but the ideas that you advance, yet I have rejected them.

Forgive me, but it isn't a question of me being ignorant of your ideas. Quite the contrary.

Yet you are ignorant, in my opinion, about why your culture, there, came to be what it is through those ideas, and how your own views formed from it, and then against it. Why does it have a democratic-socialist government? Why is it full of immigrants and refugees? Why is the rise of the libertarian right happening in Scandinavian countries and around the world? Ask yourself these questions with an open mind.

jorb wrote:Why do you take those last rants I made seriously? All I did was scream like a child and hurl random insults that could literally be programatically produced from your or nanos' statements by simply asserting the contrary, throwing in a random insult mashed up with a healthy dose of contempt, and then accuse you of being racist for saying whatever it was you said. There was literally not a single cogent argument presented by me, and yet you feel the need to defend yourself? Why is it that I get better responses from you through this tactic of shitty intimidation than I do when I actually present reasoned arguments?

Next time use blue for sarcasm Jorb, and the joke will go over better.

As for the OP, I won't call you racist, or homophobic (although you used the word faggot), or anti-women's rights or anything else, but you don't argue against the posts in these forums that are. I've seen Nigger, Faggot, Cunt, Bitch used by many people in this thread alone by people hiding behind fake names. Yet, you haven't said anything against their behavior only your own. Basic standards of society and rules of "Quality Posting" were all the email was asking for. Why wouldn't you support those or at least argue against the people who use those above mentioned words.

jorb wrote:Aw, shit. This thread is awesome. I'm going to go have a shower now. Later, faggots. :)

Or maybe you just don't care.

Connecticut has the highest average wages of any state in the union, and Vermont has the highest standard of living of any state. Whereas Tennessee is in the lower half of wages and Virginia would be too if it wasn't bordering Washington DC.

Hey, I know I'm not the smartest person here. I'll admit it.

I can't dev a game, or code in Java, or any of the other things they do. I have my talents, but I'd rate myself average in just about everything.

heh, like "dev a game or coding in java or any of the other things they do" has something to do with being smart about?
your tone does sound like you know better than jorb or anyone else here does ;)
this is why "words" alone cannot be trusted.

I would say that I am not smart, and you should always question everything that anybody says, but also listen and read. Form an opinion, but always question that opinion and be willing to change it by learning new things. Always be willing to challenge the opinion of others, to defend what, in your belief, is right, and be willing to understand and defend the "Progress of the Human Condition."

Possibly the weakest troll attempt in the history of HnH.

My statement went right over your head didn't it?

btw the "had" in your sentence is an unnecessary double verb. I can see that maybe English is your second language so, proper English would be "Sorry if I confused you."
