I just remembered; when we were in highschool, we (me, J&L and a couple of others) "borrowed"
a conical flask and some other equipment from the chemistry class and made a bong.
We only had tobacco at that time, but it was pretty fun nevertheless.

Yea, tastes bad - irrelevant of what you smoke through it.

NEVER use plastic when it comes to smoking.
Glass is optimum (for cleaning purposes), and try to filter through water at least once.

Best option still is a vaporizer.

Never had a chance to use a vaporizer and on wiki it doesn't look like anything one can assemble with any commonly availble materials.
And gravity bong is just a bottle, a pipe and any container with water... Rather simple to put together, quick to use and easy to get fkd up ^^'
