I can say with certainty that deleting unused accounts will not solve the lag issues.

Remove unused accounts give the right amount of Numbers of users that in the last two month played the game.(...)
Close the account number avalaible.
How much account numbers? Math can answer to this easily, and each upgrade of the server make grow the account numbers avalaible.

I think he is suggesting capping amout of simultaneous logins. Server slots, if you will.

I can definitely see that helping but I also can see that horribly abused. So, bad idea, probably.

I whould avoid a Login Stop. I mean:

_____________________________________________
"I'm new. I've registered to the forum! I wanna play yehhhh"
-Could not connect to server, too much users logged in already.-
"Wtf!?!? çOç!?!? I play in this hours, i cant play then, because the others players play before me!?!!"

---------------- WRONG WAY!!! ----------------

I'm not suggesting this. Nope. I'm suggesting THIS:

______________________________________
"yehy, a nice game! i wanna register on the forum!"
-Can't register to the forum. Max account numbers fulfilled. Next Upgrade of 500 accounts at 23/08/2056-
"Agh. Is a Close number game...sigh. I'll retry another day."

I understand that English is clearly not his first language, but even in Swahili, that's the long way to go about saying it.

The sad thing is I was musing about suggesting something similar, but not quite so harsh, an active login limit, such as 1 account logged in per individual IP address, easy enough for seasoned folk to work around, but reading on the IRC about one man logging in 4 toons at the same time? Is that truly needed? Granted the only time I have seen things like that done were on Ragnarok's test server, and it in the end required alot more effort on the dev. TEAM (capitalized because there were more than two and they were all payed well by subscriptions) as well as active online server "ops." It in the end all falls down to what path Jorb and Loftar want to take their game down, and no amount of bitching and belly-aching will likely change that any time soon. So here's a counter thought for you Flame, how about a personality survey as part of the account creation process? Again completely breakable, but it might at least start to give the Dev. team an angle for alternative revenue streams. Would they even want to make HnH their day jobs? I have no idea, but anything is possible!

The multi account is a problem of What Law devs want. If they don't care about multi accounts, is theyr problem, but the lag is our problem and i think that someone can donate also 500.000 dollars, the problem can't be solved simply Skipping the Real problem. How this game is coded and how devs are ruling it.

Gift me theyr server and i'll be really happy because i could open 3 game at the same time with the same server.

I cant put some brain in devs mind, but at last i can try to solve the risk to make colapse the server with an invasion of users. Or you wanna see Hh shout down for weeks when someone decide to publicize it somewhere else and 1000 more users log in?

This game is surely bad builded, but we can avoid the "too much" users problem to begin.

The primary problem with your logic Flame, is that you are assuming that the number of existing accounts in any way affects the total bandwith use of those accounts, which it might if everyone whom owned those accounts used them every day, for X hours a day (where X is constant) and that the distribution of players across the globe is uniform.

Unfortunately human beings are finnicky things, there are peak hours for every timezone, different distributions of users for each timezone and, ergo, each set of peak hours... If Bandwidth, or rather User-to-Server communications and their replies (Actions performed by players) is the limiting factor of the server, there's not enough parallells between that and existing accounts to make such a decision.

I'm sure that the server have a log, so one can simply read the log and look the pick of players.

Anyway i repeat:
Remove unused account is NOT for remove Lag. How could i think that something that server don't use, can create lag?
My suggestion is:
"Close the account inscription number."

And to be sure to let play everyone that are already registered, is enough look the login pick in a week.

Is it now clear?
