I actually found it quite a kick-of-a-drive knowing there were people out there who were a threat to me. It gave me a reason to play for 48 hours straight, getting my claim and palisade up, whilst training up my Stats to defend myself.

Now I get the joy of crafting one of everything and poking at my curiosity box once in a while, whilst waiting for my hunger to decay enough to top it up with a fillet-o-fish once in a while.

This is actually a common problem with alot of games. They go for "realism", but neglect the fun-factor and playability.

Playability VS Realism being the main issue, which is usually down to the problem of not having the technological means to keep up with what realism would demand. Or, in Haven and Hearth's current problem, balance.

You "do" realize that the items you craft have a reason and use outside of being grinded for lp, right? That bone saw? It saws stuff. That tanning tub? Tans stuff. Why would you use these things any differently just because lpcomes from somewhere else now?

Playability = grinding huge amounts of LP by doing one thing over and over?

Me thinks you need to figure out why you play a game like this in the first place. For me the magic of exploration is back. I don't have to repair my crap or level a forest to stay ahead of the game. I've been cruising along the rivers and walking across the lands without fear that some no-life faggot with too much free time would one shot me from behind a rock.

At this moment this game is perfect. Maybe not all the mechanics are perfect, but the in game experience is my idea of perfect sandbox fun.

Unfortunately, no. Hasn't Ahnold taught you that the machines always win in the end? They just keep coming and coming and coming. They're all just offline tweaking their scripts so they can start the grinding again. In a week or two we'll start seeing the bots back up.

Actually, some of these things are even more important to LP grinding now than they were before.

This. I almost never grinded LP in the last world but I was constantly busy anyway. There's always more food to bake to feed the locusts that are my village mates, or chantrelles to find, farms to loot..

The great thing about H&H is that its 800ish items ALL HAVE A PURPOSE and you have reason to make them besides grinding.

You do realise YOU NEED LP TO BUY THE SKILLS TO USE ITEMS TO MAKE STUFF YOU NEED?
I fully look forward to jorb and loftar fixing several mechanics and bringing back updates, because at that time you chuckleheads are going to be more marginalized than lawn furniture in winter.
