It's no coincidence because goons are all griefers. I hear they have Let's Grief instead of Let's Play (which is not their invention at all, they stole it from the Greeks). They even grief single player games - they sure caused a lot of grief to those dwarves in Boatmurdered. Even Delamore is helping/recruiting newbies, maintaining public resources and generally acting nice just so he can get into a position of power and ban everyone.

Actually I've moderated four or five other forums and several irc channels in the past, including the public channel for this game. im not aware of any complaints??? unless you count the few times I kickbanned voodoodog for troublemaking (kbs being temporary)

once again judging the competence of someone based on how much you like them, tsk tsk. where is your detachment?

For the record - the public IRC channel has an insult directed at me in its message of the day, This is not the action of an impartial or appropriate moderator.

I really am a grammar nazi at heart, and even though I tend to try and suppress that part of myself not to tick people off too much, I have to let it peek through for a bit.

VoodooDog; to be honest, I tend to ignore your posts, because reading them -- or trying to read them, rather -- almost gives me a headache. It is easy to ignore linguistic misses to a very large extent, but your posts lie even beyond that. The times I try to read your posts, I often find myself not understanding what you're really trying to convey until the fourth or fifth time I read them, and other times I only get it through the posts of others making fun of you. I know English isn't your native language, but I think that goes for most people on this board (myself and Jorb included).

If you want people to take your ideas seriously, you might want to consider investing just a little more effort in their presentation.

He should probably make a video with a catchy tune, put it on youtube and wait till masses of fanboys start following him.

This actually is one of the worst communities I've ever seen.
It's just a bunch of boring internet stereotypes. Lots of smart kids who think they are the best shit ever happened to humanity. You know, that kind of kids who try to look smart every time they post something. Looking smart on the internet obviously means a lot of poor sarcasm, insults, 4chan-esque humor and abuse of old internet memes.
Then there's people like Voodoodog. Same kind of smart kid wannabe, but totally illiterate as well.

How many active users on this forum? A couple hundreds? In an early alpha. Just look at the amount of drama and flames.
Luckily there are some exceptions amongst the masses of fucktards. Without those exceptions, Jorb and Loftar would be better off doing all the testing by themselves and closing the forum altogether.

The public IRC topic can be changed by anyone who wants, out of the 40 or so people who hang around there at different times no one has changed it to remove the joke even though it gets changed multiple times daily to edit the server status.

You fall into the trying to look smart category, but instead of using poor sarcasm you assume that the game could be tested without the players and that it would be just as good.
Also when they complete the testing, what then? Keep it secret to avoid building a community up?
