What is a good location to place a hearth vault? Can you break down brick walls while on water? Could I palisade myself a small island?

About the island, I'm not sure, but i think you can carry battering rams on a raft, can someone verify this?

nope
although in w3 in one of my villages one of my buddies could have sworn he saw our new korean neighbors carting a ram around on a raft.
I tried it a few times, didn't work :/

If your going to make a hearth vault. Don't make a palisade, make a brick wall.

a while back in this world, once loftar made a fix so that we could carry a ram on a raft, and the fix "was" to be implemented after a server crash. and that was when some korean players were working on raftable rams, i believe.
however, veteran players succeeded in convincing loftar otherwise, that is, to take this fix away before a crash happens.
so, nope, you cannot carry a ram on a raft.
(cba to find the thread now, the first talk was me and loftar on IRC, "take it away" talk was on the forums.)

as for an island vault, when you cannot build a ram on that island somehow, it will be considered as "an illegal vault", a target for "Jorb's Fist", ....if jorb has time to find it out and nuke it.

OK if you have room on the island for a ram against the brick wall but you over all of that with strongboxes, is that nukable since it can be rammed but only if you can break the strongboxes? If it is nukable, does that mean you can technically make the vault nukable by building palisade cornerpost or even firewood XD ?

Doesn't make it less fun to play. "Safe" hearthvault is boring. Making one that breaks the rules but doesn't either isn't. \

2 klaue. Your outdated old man.
