I actually played on some private server with the older game version for a while, I got bored of it so I quit.
I've had a bard character (gee, who'd have guessed) with some magic skills. Neat for farming gold and other goodies.

Lots of interesting games, was hoping to find something new here, alas I didn't.

Might as well add Ace of Spades to the list, it's decently fun now and then.

Savage XR/2 can be enjoyed, though I'm not sure I'd say promising because the former was scrapped, and the latter has cash shop and probably won't see much in the way of additions.

If you ever try Savage XR, after you get into it, go play around on a samurai server, funniest shit I've seen in years "Bow your head!"

There may be some non-multiplayer games that are promising, I'd have to dig deeper.

To this day I still miss Mythic Entertainment's Magestorm from back in the day.

Unreal World anyone? http://www.jmp.fi/~smaarane/urw.html

Makes me think of Dorf Fortress and some kind of roguelike, but it has some form graphics other than the matrix...

You basically survive in iron age Scandinavia, hunt/fish/farm for food. Train your skills. Build your house (yes, you can build some shit in the game). And go out to kill or get killed by Njerpez.

You can try it for free if you want the whole game its either 3$ for current version or 9$ for major version. You can also buy all future releases for like 55$.

Not sure how 'promising' it is, but I've heard talk of it:
http://heredur.drakensang-online.com/home
and Path of Exile...
and Grim Dawn...
and pretty much every other D3 'clone' attempt coming out. They all look decent. First one however is browser based, the fact that the graphics are close to what was shown of D3 is kinda... sad.

Runescape: Do nothing but grind skills and money so you can invite your buddies to your level-up party in order to show how lonely you are IRL. Also has a shitty storyline and a shitty player base.

Was fun when I was...13.

Although to be fair, I checked back kind of recently, and the graphics have improved quite a bit. Still has a shitty community, and the game's still a grindfest.

No one's mentioned Shores of Hazeron yet? It's what Spore should have been.

Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
