Yeah, I think that letting us split our eggs between multiple baskets is the best thing about the curio system, since it encourages PvP. It's also the worst thing as long as the infrastructure is untouchable, though.

Should we only have "full change" then, without the tradition? I'm up for it.

It may be possible that there is an increased amount of PvP due to the wrong reason and that because there is not much of a way to counter even the simple form of hearthvaults. That and a good (majority?) percentage of the PvP is performed by one faction which utilize hearthvaults to the next level. Ideally there should be more PvP from many different groups, not just one. However, once a proper siege and defense system has been implemented, we should also note how this will affect PvP.

I'vew been saying forever that we should have real permadeath, ie complete LP loss. Claims should still be inheritable, of course, but declaiming shouldn't return any LP so they're not abusable (and so we don't have giant LP banks taking up useful space in this crowded world).

It's not just the LP bank that is the reason for the giant personal claims in the world. Some simply claim giant amount of area within a resource node and some are simply land mongers as well. There may also needs to be an increased LP per tile cost for each increase as well. nothing drastic wise but to prohibit 200x200 personal claims.

Maybe RP could be a vector of fun.

Make some RP events, like a fighting tournament. The less RP players will have fun fighting, you'll have fun playing your character as if it was living.

I think the cost per tile should increase as the claim size increases.

Well, actually I'd prefer it if personal claims were folded into village claims somehow (ie they need authority upkeep rather than just a one-off payment), but I haven't come up with a coherent Unified Claim Theory so far.

All claim LP banking abuse aside... All claims should just vanish after a certain amount of inactivity...say 2 weeks and it goes away if you don't log in or something...

I am also seeing how many aspects of the game can become stale once you advance past a certain point...no real goals to aspire to aside from pvp... So I can understand veterans leaving, especially with bug abuses and other such stuff goin on that ruins game play... If my walls get rammed and I get raided that's life, but wall hopping etc just kills the enjoyment for me as well... For now I still have much to do and to learn, hoping for the day when the dev gods return.

But bugs and all, I love this game ;)
