Not minding here.

Plus if they won't tell us, we will make our own map anyway.

While I was sort of hiding (even though I'm now rather close to a publicized settlement), I don't have any real objections to that now.

I must say, the spotty dirt road has helped immensely in getting from Bottleneck to Laketown. Although I would like a more visible marker of where the proposed paved road that will go East of the lake as opposed to the one I followed, which put me square in the first circle. While such a responsibility should be on part of Bottleneck residents, alignment requires the person paving the road from Laketown to start some dirt road guides, allowing for Bottleneck to start on such a road. Although I warn: While the proposed location of the road to Bottleneck will reach some houses not terribly far from the river, these are on the outskirts of town. One would either have to make a road due West from there to reach the industrial sector or go through the very cramped main street of town.

tl;dr: A better idea of the proposed road to Bottleneck would be nice. Also, our main street sucks. Don't bring a wagon there.

i tried to make a spotty dirt road from laketown to bottleneck, thats more or less straight N-S with a little W-E run, its not perfect, and i made a few mistakes, but it shows the general way the road could go.
Were still doing heavy construction on the north roads [although you can still use them, there just not paved in places and only 3-wide for the start]

I have an updated map if you want it. I've been hesitant to post it, since I thought that not all people may want the location of their settlements publicized; I guess that's mainly your problem, though, so please voice your opinion about it. If noone minds, I'll make it public.

Personally, I think an updated map would be a great boon to the players of H&H. I'm all for my settlement being shown on the map, but I know that my co-settler, Lare may have some reservations. My suggestion to Loftar is that he allow people to have their settlements removed from the map, not added. This would save a lot of trouble and allow we players a map far sooner.

That or the ability to "automatically" make a world map as you travel it.. so places you've never been remain hidden, but you can see where you've been.. ect.. Ingame.

Now that would be cool, but something tells me it would be more difficult to make than it would be useful.

I think it should connect to industrial area, as that's where carts will most often go.

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, it would be really cool to see what the world looks like now. On the other hand, I like drawing maps and sharing information. Whatever you decide to do, I think I'll be OK with it.
