Actually there is no burden of proof, as by definition the existence of a g(G)od cannot be proven (or disproven for that matter).

Does it really matter? No one will know for sure until they die anyway... I don't get the point trying to figure out now. Might as well just leave it until you die. Chances are the bible has been tampered with over the thousands of years anyways.

Personally, I do not believe there is a god. I sort of go along with what Ewlol said and what Ignus said. Every Christian I meet tells me the bible is proof :/

Of course there is. If I claim to have the ability to fly to the moon under my own power I would be expected to prove it.

Apparently you can't prove your ability to read.

The concept of God is by definition unprovable. If I believe in God then I also believe and understand that I cannot prove this fact to anyone. That's the whole point of faith in religion. I don't know why you're so bent on "prove it bitches!" when they understand fully well that it's impossible for them to do so.

You will never, ever, see absolute proof that God exists (unless you're dead or Revelation has begun). The very concept of which goes against God himself.

I'm liking the ad hominem. I would also disagree with you about your definition of god, the one where I can just spread my hands and shrug my shoulders claiming "Oh, well that's just my opinion", most Christians would quite adamantly stand by their claims of actual proof of god existing in every day life.

See, here's my reasoning for my faith.

Atheists are such fucking assholes about the whole topic (seriously, they allow no leeway nor anyone else's opinion in the discussion without becoming irredeemable douchebags) that I demand there be a Lake of Fire waiting for them at the end so as I ride up the happy escalator into the light I can laugh at them and yell "I told you so!"

Plus, 90% of atheists I've interacted with in public or via forums are as intelligent as a rock so why would I even merit any thought that carries between their ears?

Note: I never said "God" was the Christian version. I specifically stated this for a reason. He/She/It could be a simple brain wave that started the spark of life. Or a Transformer. I just believe in something greater than the broken unproven theory that humans evolved from goo via an accident.

...And you have the nerve to call atheists as intelligent as rocks.

Also in that statement, you have proven your laughably gross ignorance on the subject of evolution and biology altogether. Goo? An accident? Almost child-like over simplifications. Seriously man, at least dig into the subject a little before attempting to belch your painfully mind-numbing drivel bashing it.

Also, good for you. You believe in something "greater". /golfclap

In the mean time, I'll continue to observe the fossil records.

I believe our religion was invented by a guy that wanted to change the world for better, but he needed a good argument to do this so he invented god. By believing in god they would follow godly rules not to steal and such.
Of course that's just my idea. Hope noone got offended. :)

All you did there was say "People that disagree with me are poo-poo heads and meanies". Faith does not deserve respect, it deserves rigorous questioning, if all that comes of that is vague hand-wavey talk about goo and a higher purpose then maybe it merits a re-think.
