Well, people might not bother sacrificing horrible knots till q30-40 for about double the base LP times the multiplier (8 strings).
So for a week or two until people hit lv40 survival on average, they'll stick to dragonflies, ladybugs, and soldier ants.

So in a way, horrible knots is a good mid-end game curios as a side gain...

Bear/Boar Hide > Leather Straps = Good quality knots though.
