If they would be actively working on it, fixing stuff along the way, maybe adding something new and not fixing whats broken, I'd add something to the pot aswell without any hasitation :)

While I can't afford a monthly fee, I'd gladly donate if we'd get updates regularly.

please

the art style is not why Salem suffered from low pop. Haven itself is "cartoony" and you have no objections there?

i think the reason it failed is because what you did didn't follow any linear progression. in haven you start with nothing, you get sticks and boughs and get discovery LP, and also you have enough to make a shelter! boom, progression, right off. its not much but after that you just progress in a very understandable way. you can see how you are progressing every step of the way.

in salem you start with nothing, and have to work on skill values to get "progress" "okay, i increased (skill) a bit... what did that do?" it follows a progression that you have to be very experienced and knowledged in the game mechanics to get. when i first played i couldn't even find the progression to get a basic shelter, because it's not really there.

THAT is why salem failed

EDIT: i just realised i conveyed this idea very poorly, but i hope you get what i mean

yep zacty that's a big point which made me stop playing Salem - investing lots of time in HnH and having to find out how Salem works was too much for me (besides loving 2D more than 3D)

The Salem Art itself is great and fun!

I really hope they'll find ways to care for both their babies! meooow :D

Ah Salem, with your terrible artwork and eyeburning terrain colours.

I will miss Salem's combat though, which is far superior to anything haven will ever have. Killing a bear purely by force of will and skill was intense. Attacks actually able to miss/be dodged because YOU made a mistake/outplayed something is certainly more entertaining than the boring water and fire combat that H&H has.

Ah, there were so many things wrong with salem and there were so many things I enjoyed with it.

Oh dear god salems combat. That was seriously that games weakest point.
