actually in a computer game they can spawn resources back, so really we never know when its going to happen unless they were to tell us. Like the guy before said they went year + without a map change, all they have to do is input some Commands and refresh the actual map resources. If i knew that the map was going to actually reset i wouldn't not care. That would tell me okay its reset, now its my turn to capture everything super fast and wreck havoc on everyone.
Obviously never played any timed based games :roll:

I am listening youre saying if we know it resets we stop caring. But if we dont know when it does we will try harder i dont believe that.

If the server restarted, and you were with a group, you would out battle the man with his "10 chars" because hes focusing on all 10, unless of course he bots but then wheres the fun?
10 real men against a group of 9Bots and 1 actuall human. Youll lose.
There is no excuse you didn't read what I said.

You never have once played a time based game obviously.
Play a FPS with a match of 50 kills
Theres no time so youre just going to take your time and try to get a Good K.D
Play a FPS with a match of 50 kill switch the time limit of 10 minutes and youll rush to get what you're there for without dying as much as you can.

If the map was to reset it wouldn't make the Stronger weak, it would give the people who had just started playing a chance those hermits that are alone in the world a more fighting chance rather then being slaughtered because these "Strong" people can't fight anyone their own level so they find noobs in tophats wondering around with a little torch and kill them because they can.
This would create wars between people because there always something to fight over. Rather then hey its been 2 months we've done everything we can so lets just go kill people who spawn.

Go in the world now, and you see a Clay Node. okay it's claimed what do you do? You dont worry about it and keep on unless you have the skills to go on and check it out.
but what if the owners of said clay see you and kill you.
There you're done your char is dead, might as well start over.
But what if the server was always reset after X months. This would mean there wouldn't be any let me just kill this guy and get it over with
because there's always going to free places because of the reset meaning more people are just going to fight over it and kill each other that's the fight I want to see, not a pesky little raid where you go in some poor hermits village and rape his chickens steal his bread and kill or knock him out after destroying what he made.
Because you're definitely some "strong" force right.

If i was walking along and saw a q50+ clay node and its not claimed i go hey, heres my chance, but then oh all of a sudden you show up thinking the same idea to take what you can and leave, I will kill you.
But if said Object is claimed ill just leave because Hey the server might restart in 5 months or a year no one knows so i'm just going to walk until i find my own land.
But if i know hey the server resets in 6 months i don't have time to waste a week walking to find a nice spot i'd rather kill you take my clay take your stuff as well and leave.
Making a server reset doesn't make any one weak or the stronger less strong, it gives everyone a new chance rather then someone who's played from day one to someone who came in 3months later - spawns and dies.

Seize the day. Make the world yours. There is no defeat only changes in direction. Quite simply make the world play on your terms.

I do believe that's what Nao is trying to convey.
