Shockedfrog is a major reason why trees are now, unlike before, plantable. I have said this before but I am going to repeat it: When a game mechanic is being abused -- as claims, the lack of AI pathfinding and general thievery are now -- and, really, only then, will we have the incentive to improve on them. If we do not know where our problem areas lie, or even that we have them, we cannot hope to address those problems. It is impossible to design working and balanced game mechanics in a vacuum.

I do not mind a heated discussion, nor profanity, but, frankly, WorkerDrone, your post up there had me worried about your blood pressure.

As a general note: I am not going to enforce anything but the barest minimum of civility in these forums, but I am going to say that I believe common courtesy to be highly useful when you're trying to get a point across. I, personally, appreciate and respond well to it. I am going to, kindly, ask everyone to keep their wits about them.

Stay strong.

Because of people like him, it FORCES us to go to incredible lengths to protect or works, which should have been fun to have a go at. Now it is a chore.

youre allowed to do whatever you want in the game. have you ever played UO?

I dont understand how you can complain really.

isnt that the fun of the game, you can do whatever you want in a totally sandbox world. just go back and kick his ass.

For obvious reasons i suspect thieving people come from mordor.

I don't see the "obvious reasons"

They are the people who have to travel the farthest to get there, have the least to gain (they should be pretty developed already) and the most to lose (assuming you catch them and kill them)

Could you explain your side of the logic to me?

EDIT: sorry if this post is a little defensive, based on the map there are only like 6 of us out in mordor, so statements about us are a bit more personal to me.

Hmm yeah i see. I was actually just waiting for mordor people to post.
The logic behind it is that almost noone goes to mordor. Especially not to find a thief. It's not hard to walk to mordor and live there. It's only hard to kill there. Hence making a good place for thiefing people.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

I see where you are coming from. I cant imagine moving anywhere that I can not fight off the local wildlife, but I suppose I cant imagine risking my char on petty theft either, it is a completely different mindset which I do not think I will ever quite understand.

Don't think that everyone who simply walks into Mordor is a thief, though; Indeed, Tahin and I are heading deep into the wilderness in order to AVOID griefers; after all, who would brave level 10 foxes just to steal some cabins?
Surprise.

Don't know. The perfect thief? The one noone suspects? :ugeek:

Technically they're level 50.

Their unarmed level is level 50, but they're considered level 10. </pedant>
