Pain posted it over on the Salem forums in the RL pic thread that got started there back during or not long after Paradox was running the game. I seem to recall it showing up here at some point after that with the eagle and flag theme. It's been a troll meme ever since, I think.

Is it actually the RL picture of PH? How should I know? I don't know the guy and what he looks like. For all I know, it could be Marilyn Monroe come back from the dead and trolling us all.

I never posted that picture at all, Jordan Coles found it on my Facebook. Don;t be fucking assholes, just make him take it down.

I was curious for a long time, whenever I looked at painhertz picture, but I finally realized where I saw him before.
He is one of the main characters on worlds toughest truckers. I loved your show btw

While I am not entirely certain whether jordancoles got the picture first or painhertz has absent mindedly forgotten that he posted it, I wouldn't put it past his old brain because this situation has indeed occurred before and the perpetrator claimed that he easily found them through googling painhertz so.... I don't know if that ban is warranted is all I'm saying.

I don't know the ins and outs of it but it seems really unfair imo to be able to use someone elses rl picture as your avatar without their permission. Afaik isn't it the copyright of the person who took the photo anyway?

It is copyright of photographer, but if it was published with model's consent (or without it in case it was taken in public place and model is not the only object on the picture or model was paid) and you're not using it for commercial purposes and/or unfair. When you're using picture uploaded by author as your userpic, you don't interfere with his rights, especially when it is a picture of none commercial value like in this case. Definitions of fair use can slightly vary for different countries, but it's the same in general.

If you hadn't noticed I tend to stick my nose in on many things within this forum, but I won't deny some people have got a hard-on for you.

Anyways I already did that and of course they don't show up now, that was ages ago. He also said one of those pictures (referring to the old thread here) could be found in the pictures thread and while that probably was the case then I doubt it is now. Doesn't change the fact you posted them at some point which is just as likely with this one.
