ramones wrote:How are hnh forums related at this moment to some ugly game called Salem anyway?

They are both created by Jord and Loftar. Their playstyle is similar. :D
They are related that way.^^
We do have differences but anyone who is interested in HnH should check out Salem to see if it's something they like :D

Found the Claeyt alt

Champie, a few other minor players on the forum. I still champion the little guy over there and we get in arguments weekly about him favoring established players over noobs. They really are trying to grow the game so they're playing nice now.

txtrung0 wrote:I have seen no complaint on the forum about him trolling with devs power, after what he did with the Tribe. If things went wrong horribly there must be at least one or two posts about it and I have seen none? I check the forum everyday. (aside from salty bug abusers)

Here's the thread Kaios is talking about.

txtrung0 wrote:Also, nicely said Claeyt. Did Jorb or Loftar put the dunce cap on you too? Like I can't imagine how can you stand all this troll.

No, that was one of the main points was that Jorb and Loftar (or for that matter any dev in any game) would never have trolled/griefed an individual player like that. As for how I could stand it, I've been trolled by the best on forums over my liberal views.

txtrung0 wrote:And the fact that the game is changing everyday is good enough. I also think that more reasonable actions and restriction is being put into his mind after awhile.

This is why I now recommend the game. They're pretty good dev's and they've put in restrictions in-game and on the forums for harassment like that. I don't think they'd ever disrupt their game again like they did in this instance or the other stuff with the tribe.

burgingham wrote:What would you say if the owner of the coffee place you go to slaps you in the face everytime you buy your morning latte? "That's ok man, just get it out of your system."

I'd say it's more like we have a general trolling argument with each other randomly and he makes a lot better latte than the last barista who was a strange little lazy hairy swedish guy who spouted weird stuff about the Masons and the NSA. Yes you have to put up with JC's bullshit but you still have a good cup of coffee at the end.

burgingham wrote:I stopped playing HnH though because of the state it was in. I wouldn't torture myself playing a game with too many problems.

There are zero problems with the game now really. Just needed expansion. They generally get a bit of lag right after patches but that generally disappears within a few days and 4 or 5 hotfixes.

Avu wrote:It's been 4 months since I got a hat for asking that the events they made be a bit more inclusive to newer/more casual players. That was a week after the dev kinned me ingame and thanked me personally for my contributions on the forum. It was also the last day I logged into salem. Why do you keep lying? They learned their lesson? The whole snake tree was in april this april two weeks ago is that kind of fun event a sane reasonable dev makes for the playerbase? On one side it kills noobs on the other side it's exploitable by the established.

Again, the Snake tree just spawned snakes. It didn't kill noobs or anybody else. You went to pick a branch and an agro'd snake would pop out of it. It would only agro to the exact person who tried to pick a branch. No one else.

They'll take that hat off you if you ask. I think you were the last permanent hat they put on anyone and by then they would just take it off you if you asked nicely.

It wasn't exploitable by the established, they'd kill a snake and a noob would run up and grab it. It was fun. Sure people would get KO'd from snake poisoning but only if they tried to grab a branch or if they attacked a snake. Most of us just sat back and watched the fun. Nobody died, just Ko'd.

I feel a need to post here, but don't really know what to say. You all are bitter for the time it took away from Haven development. I can't really blame anyone for that, but I care more about the developers than a specific game, and understood that jorbtar needed the paid work or else Haven might have gotten killed, too, due to no time to develop it working on day jobs.

To be honest, I almost forgot all about Haven because of the stupid grind in it, so let's not go pointing fingers about bad game design. (Chopping down all the trees in the area to make buckets with bots to gain some needed LP, anyone?)

Salem is a better game than when it was sold to Mortal Moments. Neither one is a great game, but both are works of art I've fallen in love with.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I'd just like to point out that this barely ever happens.

Also, Claeyt, VQ #27 is complete. Please come back to the Salem forums for more information on VQ #28.
