The main issue is that when people pump a lot of money into something, they want to minimize risks as much as possible. This means a lot of loss of creative control for the devs. And they still need to do a LOT of experimenting, so H&H is nowhere near ready to go commercial.

I think this is the type of game that would benefit from not being mainstream.

Honestly, do you really want to see random people coming and going, chopping down a tree and then just buggering off randomly?
Imagine all the randomt accounts people would make to play this game for like 10 minutes.

Its better off being independant and have a smaller but more familiar community behind it rather than a massive bunch of randoms, let it grow slowly.

SHove it faggot. I have more than enough friends who have played this absurd game that choosing not to play it was a well informed decision.

That was pretty great, no lie.

Although these layabouts will probably not understand it. :P

Actually, they wouldn't play it if they didn't like it eh? Logic fail but trust that I've ad many competant debates over game design, player expectation and why we play video games.

I've played it. The combat system is subpar, as is the questing, death, and crafting systems.

Best:
Crafting: Everquest 2, pre-LU24
Death: Everquest/Haven and Hearth/Legends of Kesmai
Combat: Dark Age of Camelot
