Oh Xcom, we all know that if the mechanics were reworked so the system would not be "broken" that people would still bot. The reason for this is simple. Haven is a survival game, anything that gives a player the slightest advantage will be used. And what more of an advantage can you get then having a script play the entire game for you?! Nothing like going to sleep and waking up to a cupboard of all the foragable curiosities you can possibly get so that you can then run a bot to study them all day for you! Oh, and lets widen this gap of non-botting players vs botting players by automating the collection of mussels for river pearls! A nice easy extra million LP per day for doing nothing but pressing your fancy button to start the script!
Its entirely useless to argue that botting does not give an advantage to the players, and then continuing to argue it does not ruin other players experience. Its easy enough to see, just go compare the prices of various traders through the worlds. You'll notice that for some items, such as food, prices have nearly doubled! You'll also notice some traders have even stopped accepting q10 pearls just because they're so common now. How will the poor new player who have yet to be introduced to
the world of botting compete with this.
Botting ruins the game for everyone. Period. There is no question about it. You are just being a prick about it because apparently it is the only way to fuel that over inflated ego, by justifying your botting habits and claiming that they do not give you an advantage at all.
Stop trying to argue against common sense, it just makes you look like an even bigger idiot.
