Sorry man but unfortunately you're accomplishing that just fine on your own. I was already arguing my points and perspective before you jumped in to the conversation and taking part means your opinions are just as subject to criticism as my own. It's not my fault that more people happen to agree with me. You sound crazy and the only person to blame is yourself and your poorly thought out arguments.

Bots are a problem because pumping stats is an infinite arms race. If you could grind to a certain point where you can say "OK, this character is good enough" and then just ease up on grinding without becoming useless because botters left you behind stat-wise, botting wouldn't be ruining the game nearly as much as it is now.

But I have already demonstrated to you how this isn't the case. It simply then becomes a question of grinding up more characters instead of investing in only one.

That's not much of a counterpoint. You can still be plenty useful to a faction if you have one viable character even if they have people who have ten. If you have zero viable characters, though, you're nothing but a liability. And competing in char quantity is already a thing anyway. Whatever you choose, you have to have bad aspects. If you cap grind with a max character power cap, you get character quantity competition. If you don't cap the grind and leave max character power unlimited, only poopsockers and botters have viable characters. If you go with your solution thus far, capping grind pace but leaving the max char power unlimited, you get the worst of both worlds.

Exactly. Because the grind already has a cut-off where the diminishing return start taking too much of a toll, and investing in more characters becomes more profitable. Thus your idea that if only there were a fixed limit to character growth, everything would be dandy, is incorrect.

We have been over this already.

No, it's because there's a cap on how much you can grind one character in one day. And yes, we have discussed this before, and you haven't made a convincing argument then either. And yeah, going with my preference and capping characters would indeed result in quantity contest, but as it is we have that AND the game being only fit for poopsockers and botters, because you can't really afford to miss any days of grind.
