As stated by none other then the man himself, Trollbug is a buffed beast that tracks people IRL and kills them if they attack him in H&H.

oh nonsense he wouldn't hurt a fly! The only time i've ever seen him hurt someone was when this random guy walked up to us with a knife and asked us to hand over our money and my jewelry :|
