You're ignorant and basing all of your complaints on biased, subjective crud. We have had plenty of people join the forums before griping here and there, getting warnings, bans, and the same grief you're receiving, but in stead of derailing threads, insulting mods, and bashing the community, they put aside their childish ways and now there is peace between them and the community.

In other words, you'll stop being hammered in the butt by everyone and their sister when you quit acting like you can come in here, ignore our rules and precedents and toss around your opinions as law and expect everyone to succumb to your every stipulation. Ok Hasaosan, a few lines into your post I was going to go at it point by point but I'm not going to bother now. It's clear to me that you are not going to make a clear and concise argument. Based on the mechanics of the game, there are just some things that are not going to work. I think you stumbled into a few bad ideas and got burned too much for your liking. Most likely, the situations of abuse that you're talking about were ideas that people really thought were going to go badly. If you want to link some threads and prove your argument, I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

4chan is an image and discussion site which has several dozen boards centered on various topics, though it began as a Japan/anime community. The most popular board is /b/, which is frequently called "the asshole of the internet" because it often has shock images, awkward porn and illegal/potentially illegal content. I don't really see how 4chan or /b/ is relevant to this thread though.

If you would have played for more than 20 minutes before you posted, you would have realized why your House-a-thon was a terrible idea, and you only think the other idea is good because it's your idea. If you would read the stickies, which I'd almost bet you STILL haven't done, you'd see that "realism" is not a valid argument, and if you'd read the replies to that thread, you'd see why that was a terrible idea, realism aside.


For all that it is worth, I have one last generous suggestion for you. First, calm down. Watch some television, eat some popcorn, or hold a baby; do whatever you need to do to get your mind off the HnH forums. Then, come back to the forums and DON'T post, ONLY read. Read the rules, read the stickies, maybe even do a little searching for whatever first-glance ideas you may have. Next, play the game. Thoroughly, reading the wiki and existing posts in How Do I to make sure that you have a better concept of the mechanics of the game. Finally, come back to the forums and post worthwhile events, meaningful, well thought out suggestions, and all around more respectful posts. I'm telling you this with all the sincerity I can muster. If you choose not to head my warnings, the rest of the community will NOT have mercy on you.

I would like to add that you are missing out on some history as well. Deforesting in any way that is clearly unnecessary is shunned because trees don't grow back. With the rate that settlements and villages seem to come and go, there's concern that the map, with its millions of trees, will eventually be bare. Houses out in the wilderness also decay, and quickly, which speaks of your lack of understanding of the game. It could also give people the wrong idea that this game and its people are merciful. They are and they aren't, but it is better if they learn that you must be suspicious until you know you don't always have to be. PKs might camp such free houses.

Your other idea is just stupid. You can't log out of real life. This is a video game, and it is not meant to be stressful and joyless. They way you posted it, also, is like you didn't even think about the consequences. If your client crashes, the server crashes, your power goes out, your internet goes out, or god forbid you just want to take a break from a long trip but not build a goddamn wall around yourself, you are SCREWED. You present no possible countermeasures either, just that it would be realistic.

It's realistic to be unconscious for 20 hours a day? Several days at a time? Lolwut.
