"I herd u liek bukits"

We found some noobs were building a palisade, and had nicely laid out all of the logs they would need while their palisade was drying. We graciously turned the logs into beautifully crafted buckets for them and left the above phrase on a runestone.

i'm glad i read all the way through, i would have tinkled myself if i saw this in the world.

funniest i've come across was some pun about being "stone"d, and the runestone next to it said something like "holy crap, talking boulder!"

Yes!! Most awesome DF story evah!! Personally, I'd be afraid to approach that gate if it was possible to dump magma in this game.

i was out exploring when i found a walled community with a runestone in front of the gate that said something along the lines of "help!, some a$$hole sealed our gate and we can't escape! out town is just north of your mine!" so after a bit more exploring i found the town in question, sure enough the palisade gate had been walled over (guess they should have sealed the cornerposts) and there was a large "LOL" paved in the ground in front of it. the mine mentioned wasn't too far from the gate either which got me wondering if it was the mine's owners that walled over the gate. if soo then the trapped residents left that runestone at the gate of the very people that trapped them.

I've seen a couple which say
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Only neither had got it perfect, guess they are both Civ players too, or well versed.
