I didn't mention 100k, but I did mention LP requirement. 100k is just a number I pulled out of my ass.

Care to elaborate why it's a bad idea?

I think the 100k LP requirement would be good enough. It would also mean that recently made hearthlings (alts) aren't too attached to the world to become a ghost - IE didn't witness much in experience.

hard formulas sap the mystery from what should be an unpredictable and mysterious event?

(oh, we don't need to worry about THAT person we brutally murdered coming back to haunt us. they were just an alt/newb. pfffff)

you guys are so paranoid about griefers now, its hilarious. in the credo thread jorb hadnt even fully explained his idea before rampant speculation on griefing appeared

You can't program anything without using hard formulas. Naturally, the exact formula should be obfuscated. Adding a chance element would make it a lot harder to work out the formula, especially if there are multiple variables.

And if there is potential for griefing, it will be used. This has been proven repeatedly since H&H was publicly released. Making it so that newbs/alts can't be used for making Russalkas removes the griefing potential. If you think this is bad, then I guess we can agree to disagree. Personally, I firmly believe it shouldn't be possible to cause harm to other players with zero effort.

Oooh, didn't notice the Lindworm. What do those do?

While you're doing dragon-ish creatures, please take a look at Alas. Another interesting link found on that page is one about Zduhaches

Lindworms are a bit like dragons, they rest on top treasures.

Except that the treasure in fact grows with the lindworm on top of it. (Mythology does not have to make sense, just roll with it, okay?)

Problem however is to retrieve the treasure once it's nice and big. See the Lindworm is not only a extremely voracious and violent carnivore, it's blood is also a powerful neurotoxin that can kill you at skin-contact. So using a bludgeoning tool or wearing thick and insulated armor comes recommended.

I see your elephant man and raise you a golden (?) druids helm.

Also, is it me, or did the Dragon start dancing when it didn't before?
