But, why? What's the matter with personal insults, really? It's the internet, on an informal setting, about an informal subject matter. There is, explicitly, no rule that says you have to a) be respectful, b) be politically correct, c) not type like a ten year old who's just learned how to talk to people on the internet, or d) not spam the forums with worthless no-content posts or threads.
I've found Jackard to be well-spoken and respectful in all the times we've spoken to each other -- and he's the one who runs the MapLib maps, though I suppose you don't want to hear that since you're so sure he's a worthless individual.
You're making an argument that doesn't apply.
You're saying, "The public IRC is biased and Dela's a jerk".
We reply, "It's not biased -- only a spammer got banned, and as far as "insulting topics" is concerned, it can be changed by anyone in IRC. If an insult is up, it's because no one else cared enough to change it, DESPITE the topic changing all the time to reflect server status. PS: I'm gonna call you names now."
And now you're saying, "Since you called me names, the rest of your argument is invalid and I'm clearly right and you should be banned for being mean to me, on a forum that doesn't have conduct rules. The moderators suck and are clearly biased towards goons, you guys all suck, let me whine about my persecution complex here."
Hey you fucking moron, there ARE no behavior moderators on the public IRC. There are no moderators to be biased for goons. If anything, all they really do is make sure no one comes and makes the place unreadable by spamming it to shit.
ps: calling someone names isn't a valid argument, and is not meant to be a valid argument -- I EXPLAINED why you were wrong, AND ALSO called you names. My explanation is a valid argument. My calling you names is because I feel like it, and because you can. I am, in fact, capable of doing two things in one post.
