Yes, lets just make up history to suit our own feelings of impotence.

I think Toshiro was referring to when Sodom got access to the Hall of the Gods or whatever it was called, and got all of those overpowered dev stuff.

All they got from that were some low q silk items, and some capes. As someone who had a q181 wolf cape (I think the one from the hall was either q1 or q10), I can say that all it is, is a bear cape with more hp, and some cool special effects. Regular capes don't do anything other than fill an equipment slot.

Now you guys may be mistaking the end of w3 for that of w2. W2 was ended because there were still items tainted by the coal bug. Those items actually were overpowered. But if you are making this mistake, then you really don't know what you are talking about.

Hello, newbie with a question here. Does getting a new world mean we have to start with new characters? And if not,
is it possible that they could get erased?

Thanks,

This is usually the case. In the transition from world 1 to 2, people were able to keep their characters. That was probably the most planned-out world change. W2-3 might not have kept characters because of possible coal bug contamination. W3-4 was due to data loss, I'm not sure if that included characters. W4-5 didn't keep characters because we were moving to a different lp system. Who knows what the next world will bring, but most people are used to characters being wiped with the new world. I think it is more fun that way, anyway.

Character data has been corrupted in the past, but I think it is much less common, and possibly easier to fix, than world corruption.

Oh, okay. If we get new characters, I'm hoping they also increase the animal spawn rate some. I'd hate to starve on a new character after finally
getting boatmaking. It takes me longer than some.
