As Pain said, if you're a hermit stay away from anyone. Even what would appear to be noobs at your walls. If you're in a village you can be a little more trusting but even then keep your eyes on your shit and your hearthfire safe around new members. Times is tough, oh lawd we sho' know.

Well tell me what to do. I'm a big noob playing only a few days. I've read much about the game so knew I should get a wall fast. I was working hard to get the resources and skills to get a pallisade. I've been 100% peaceful didn't steal/gank or whatever. I avoided people and when I couldn't I was friendly.

Then some nooby gank squad showed up.
I had a claim but they can just walk over it.
I was farming my carrots and got killed. I said hi, was wearing noob gear. I wasn't aggressive at all. Still got killed. Was there a single thing I could have done to prevent it the moment it happened?

getting gear doesnt have much to do with avoiding people while youre weak.
also theyre not a noob gank squad if they walked all over you. They probably killed you to collect your pants.
"i hasnt done nuting wrong waaaaaaaahhhhhh" get over yourself. pick your sack up and move on

seriously, as a newb theres a lot u can achieve in relative safety. There are bad areas, and theres new players who choose shitty locations to settle.

I travel about a bit when im foraging and mussel hunting and for isntance find newb settlements ont he end of a river. or settlements on small islands where their walls face 2 sides of a river. so basically anyone with a sling can shoot u in you palisade or your roundpole fence, heck even ur brickwall so easily it isnt funny. you're also going to have a constant stream of people boating past you waiting for an oppertunity to hit.

I also see a lot of newbs sitting in boats on rivers idling while fishing, or outside their little cabins while doing tasks afk. You DONT stay afk when ure outdoors.

Theres also the noobs who build their palisades wrong, against cliff edges where u can easily slide through. I DID this in world 5 when i was a hermit, and thankfully it was noticed by a trading friend.

I do like people to talk to me when im out, and I know I wont attack them or do anything to them except kin them and say hi, but when someone is dressed as a developed charachter, i.e. have any oft he following on, merch robe, r cape, necro robes, carrying a weapon of some sort, then you should avoid them, dont sit and chat. although as a newb i would risk trying to get to know the local settlements and towns in roder to make friends in the area. but it can elad to your death, but at elast ure not losing too much, at the same time u could be gaining a friend

theres a lot of stuff u can do to stay safe, its a learning experience, u make msitakes and you learn from them.

Just be careful but from my experience I haven't really met many "unfriendly" people.

Join a village I say.

Yeah my neighbor did this and when I pointed out the flaw he said something about how probably nobody would notice. Then he went and lagdied to a bear, losing his key in the water somehow. The flaw in his palisade actually benefitted him because it helped him get in/out of his house after he died. He still hasn't fixed the hole.

Freakin noobs man

lol, well at least it proves that no everyone gets noob raped even when they have such a huge flaw in their wall.

when i finished mine last world, there was a boar inside my palisade since it wasnt all claimed, so i went outside and shot the boar from outside the palisade since it cant run at me, and suddenly i find it outside and attacking my noob ass, wodnering how the hell it got out cause i didnt see it, thinking it was a flaw until my italian neighbours kindly pointed it out for me during a trade:D

Horseshit. If anything, as ONE of said killers, I've been tracked down and killed more this world for my crimes than in 4 and 5 combined. One again, You don't play, where is your info coming from?

I think it's obvious you're doing it wrong. Do you still have a fucking palisade?
