What is with all these ludicrous non-discussions recently? Should I start a "do women deserve the vote?" thread next? Maybe a "Help, my daughter married a black man!"?

After reading the thread over fully it seems odd to me how anyone can still care about this issue so much.
Neon, *yes* there are black people who do bad things (this wasn't even what the topic was about) but there are also many who don't. I understand that you were given a bad impression of them from personal experience but as you mature you'd realize that what one group of people choose to do does not paint the whole race over with the same brush. And JooJoo, it isn't exactly natural for 2 of the same gender to be together from a reproductive perspective, but think about this; there are many straight people in the world who will live their entire lives without having children. Why can't gays and lesbians live their lives the way that they want? Surely you don't want every able-bodied couple to reproduce, do you?

Also, no homo :D

"Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deived: Niether the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adultereers nor male prostitutes nor HOMOSEXUAL offenders.
"

HAHAHA! You might be turning our glorious American country into shite by voting for these "im gay laws", but in the end we'll be the ones laughing when we're up in Heaven with Jesus and you're having your pubic hair burned with a flamethrower in Hell.

We say THANK GOD for ALL the persecutions that we gladly endure for the service of our King.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I don't believe in homosexuality, I think it's unnatural, it could be destructive in many senses and so forth. But hey! that's just my opinion! And if your gay, that's ok! I won't hate you for it.

if everybody was gay, then we would not continue as a species.

Celibacy is wrong. 1 celibate male or 1 celibate female cannot make a baby. Which i believe is not natural.

if everybody was celibate, then we would not continue as a species.

I love threads like this because now I have another few people to dislike ;(

Anyone who wants to stop other people doing something they enjoy that doesn't hurt them or anyone else is just wrong. Oh, and if you think homosexuality is harmful in any way you're probably just saying that because of some inherited prejudice. Prove me wrong...

BTW joojoo, so noone should use any form of birth control? Lol.

I think the act of homosexuality is pretty disgusting, and being a Christian I know that gay sex is a sin. But, on the other hand, so is anal, blowjobs, pretty much anything other than straight reproductive sex with your wife/husband to my knowledge of the Bible. But, just because it's a sin and I don't like to see/think about it doesn't mean it should be illegal. I'm not the most educated on the topic, but I do believe they should be able to have the legal rights that come with marriage if they choose to be legally married. That way, religion isn't even really a factor in the matter, it's just "legal" marriage, and that's all the government should be worried about after all.

I am glad there are at lease some Christians who can be mature about the issue. I am not gay, but I have a lot of gay friends. I think you just need to get to know some to realize they are real people who are living their lives, and we shouldn't try to force them into our cultural norms through legislation.

On a more serious note, Separation of Church and State. There are those who may find the idea of homosexuals having all the rights any other human would have something intolerable and disgusting, but their intolerance should not be the deciding factor that prevents any group of people from achieving whatever it is in their life that brings them happiness. I am pro human rights, not just for fags but for everyone to be on equal ground because I regard no one as innately inferior. Inferiority is created with isolation, ignorance, and refusal to adapt.

Also the bit about being unable to reproduce: There are plenty of children out there to be adopted who would do well to have a family and that is something that married homosexual couples can do if they are into that whole raising kids thing and such. The world is quite populated enough and it terrifies me to think of how we will feed everyone when we run out of fossil fuels... Not a future I look forward to it, but if we can do anything to curb population growth I am for it so long as it does not infringe on anyone's rights.
