You've killed them all. There's usually 17-19k worth of Guards and Knights there.

Your sword is not completely upgraded and/or hasn't been enchanted at the forge yet.

For the entrance use a berserker potion or two to get past the guards quickly.
For the stairs imp summoning scrolls block ghosts.
For the castle itself have lots of invulnerability potions, major healing potions, teleport scrolls, and Seeds.

Once you have beaten the stairs I'd strongly suggest you make 10+ GMOOH potions and MOO

entrance and "castle star" depend on luck a bit - you might be lucky and start in the right moment to just fight 5 guards and knights and get through without being hit by asterix

but it prolly happens one out of 20 trials

happens every other time now for me, its actually annoying when it does since with the unicorn horn knights can never kill me now.. and the castle entrance seems to be a good farming spot :p
