that's the scariest and best thing bout H&H. freedom of choice per say.

you have some who love the formulas and the crafting bit, the fact you start out with just a torch and the clothes on your back, and you create an Empire, have a quasi social society/group of the people who depend on you and you on them. make friends, defend said friends and basically strive for a utopia so to speak.

then there's these guys(i'm sure you all know who I speak) who, stay up for 48+ hours, just going from one ant hill to the next, have specialized skill plans and playstyles more stringent than SealTeam 6's training schedule who employ every tactic/exploit to destabilize everybody else around them, just so they can come on these forums and say "HaHa we are the best @ H&H, we did/will do everything it takes to be the best at a free internet game just because we can!"

Personally, we need the latter. unfortunately it's like grabbing a dog by the ears, sure he can't bite ya, but you can't really control it nor can you let it go.

I just enjoy exploring and trading, i spent all day on the rivers yesterday. Just floating around maping out the region. If i ran into someone would greet them with "Hello! i am Amish the Explorer, anything interesting around these parts?" met some nice people... met some not so nice people. Overall was a great experience and met some new friends, and dodged some really unfriendly ones but at least i know were they are now. i am actually considering writing a sort of dramatized diary of my encounters/exploration.

Personally, the latter must be conditionally demanded, because a outbreak of them really ruins the progress of the entire region, like how a tree can't grow when you surround it with walls and junk.

Too bad my 'peaceful days' were broken within 12 hours.
Damn Russians.

But now we moved away, I made friends with everybody all around and help them build up their villages.
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.

yeah i started around the ring of Brodgar (center of world) headed West ran into a big raider village and they chased me off then headed South East and at a certain point people started warning me about russians raiding. Found a few groups pulling up stakes and moving out because i guess it was pretty bad.

Horribad, to be honest. All three clans pulled out at the same day after we repelled the rage griefing Russians.

And now that we all moved, there are still Russians to our south.
It's like you can't run away from them at all.

I hear almost everyone saying a bad thing or two about Russians. Frankly I haven't met a bad souled Russian man or woman in-game. I've kinned them and so has our main village elder. We've made friends with all nationalities (well most). We even have had a Finnish man join us. Our village consists of Australian, New Zealand, Finnish and American individuals and we aren't stopping there.

Racism is for the dumber individuals whom lack understanding and chose to stereotype instead. Be real - we're all human, we all live, eat, breath, sin and do good in our own sense. If you have a problem with a village/group then do something about it instead of whining about them on the forums.
