As a "care bear" I find it useful to get with a group that will let me play like I like to play. I do not cry when I die due to my own mistakes or someone else's "raid". It is part of the game, some people can deal well and some cannot. I find the forums for the most part to be funny, when someone losses a 2-9 month chara and they get upset because someone came in and "burned" everything or stole everything. If this is not something that can be done in the game mechanics than it would not be in the code, however it is, SO this means learn to better protect yourself, learn more of what you can do if you are a hermit to hide better or join a group and hide in the walls like I do. This is Farmville on crack with a large dose of Survival Mode, as someone else pointed out this game only has one level hardcore. Where I wish there were more “new” people, and to help with that when I go out of the walls I like to leave gifts for them, it does not mean that the Devs or anyone else in the game have to change how they play to accommodate them. They will learn like everyone else has learned to walk softly and carry a bucket of water.

Seems some are more overdosed on PCP - but thanks for your post! Lots of truth in it...but it seems some never get on that one hardcore level and thus are only in it for destroying Newbies fun as they are aware they'd got pretty much owned if they tried to fuzz with the hardcorers...

Have you met anybody ingame yet?
Did you die?

I agree, aside from a few that mostly end up dead and gone anyway, it's not too awful bad if you just stay to your own clique and ways. Let those factions who want to play pvp go at it and mostly it goes along without much problem. I've been playing since world 1 and though irritated at times you'll be alright. As for the devs, I think they've taken little steps here and there to try to make griefing a bit more "not worth the trouble" but they cannot stop all of those juvies/defetives who need it so bad they'll go to any lengths to mindlessly grief. Like draq queens at a parade, they are small in number but get the most attention...if you just take minimal precautions and go about your business you wont be bothered too much.
