Maybe I want to jerk in public to his avatar but don't want to go to jail for having kiddie porn?

Its actually somewhat related, my friend mentioned that if you got in a playground full of kids and start to masturbate will it still be legal?
Really, Sweden, with all these muslims running around and with these laws there is ought to happen some incident that media won't talk about because its muslims or feminazis.

for the last time, lolicon and shotacon is not child pornography, get your facts straight.

that news articles writer is taking things out of context. from what was in there, is not okay for him to do it, its just not considered a sexual assualt. the legal definition of sexual assualt requires the assualt to be directed at someone. because the guy wasn't directing it at someone he was found not guilty. basically its the cops fault for trying to charge him with sexual assualt instead of disorderly conduct.

I'd want to see some sort of legal precedent for that as there was a guy arrested in my locale a year or two ago for holding a hard drive full of lolicon (full-on porn stuff). I don't recall him being accused of actually assaulting any minors or having any "live action" child porn. The local police had tracked him through torrents and chat and busted him for trading it or something along those lines. Yes, I'm in the US.

Its a bit of a grey area, and specific states have differing rules on the actual legality. I must admit, I only read the first paragraph so while my statement still stands as true it is not the whole truth. Only in some states can you possess loli/shota, and only in some can you possess it if it depicts acts such as rape or some other form of obscenity. Cases are referenced for a few states.

I would research more thoroughly though for specific laws in your state if you intend on possessing/viewing any though, because Im sure the guys in prison will not make a distinction. A child predator is a child predator to bubba, and he knows what to do with those types.

And no. Fuck America. This place gets more shameful the more I learn about it.

It is also considered to be child pornography in the UK and it is illegal. I don't know the legality for all countries but whilst looking to see where we, the UK, stand I saw that it is also illegal in Canada, South Africa, Sweden, certain states in the USA and the Philippines, there are other countries where it is only illegal to actually distribute it, not own it or look at it.

From a personal viewpoint, how anyone can defend the depiction of children engaged in sexual acts, be it cartoon, photographic or real, horrifies and saddens me immensely, as does this whole conversation, so, Dzedajus, you'll be pleased to hear I have nothing more to say on the subject.

I will never understand how DRAWN images can be considered child pornography.

The problem is that some people don't see the difference between fiction and real life. Imagination doesn't limit us, its our own sandbox and some people in this case manga, anime or doujinshi authors put it in their works AND they stay there, on top of that there is no one who is forcing you to look at it. The main reason why I think its wrong to put lolicon and shotacon under the definition of child pornography is that they don't have any bad influence on real children.
Of course once the line is crossed theres no other way, but to call it immoral crime.

And drawn images of adults are never considered pornography?

Porn is porn. It doesn't matter if it's drawn or a photograph or written or spoken. If it depicts sexual acts, it is pornographic. Are there levels and lines of what is and isn't acceptible? Yes, and they vary by society and country.
