That's certainly optimistic but these consequences are the result of more than just twelve years.

You are correct about the uglier than the last dark ages part. What other country is willing and has the power to stop an expansionist country like China? Ponder that

Canada if you give us your bombs, guns, vehicles and then shut the fuck up for about 2 seconds hue

Yes. After the industrial explosion and WW2. The country became a glutton and used resources as if they were everlasting. Now with the environmental issues and the once mighty resources (like coal) now frowned upon and in shorter supply. We have to find a way to change. We will stumble sometimes and make wrong choices, but we will carry on. A lot of the military choices are debatable. Whether or not we should still have bases in Europe being one. Tbh Obama is way more lenient than his predecessors. Bush would've had us in Syria by now.lol With the war weariness and economy troubles. Americans are questioning whether or not we should police the rest of the world. Some isolationists would love for us to just take care of ourselves and let the rest fend for themselves. That will not happen. We wont retreat from the world and every person who values freedom and democracy should be thankful for it.

This entire thread makes me much sicker than that idiot judges ruling. He deserves to be disbarred and no better but OP's calling our entire country "scum" because of said ruling predisposes that all Americans AGREE with such a ruling. In reality the majority of us think it's nothing short of a tragedy and happily await the relatives of the victims hopefully catching the little shit one day and putting a .45 round through the back of his skull. In short? OP needs to work on either his critical thinking skills, or shut his whore mouth until he knows how to form a valid sentence.

i must say its really "american" of you to believe in this so easily. 8-)

You are correct, I have "no" knowledge of any such letdowns and have always thought that we were the staunchest of allies after rebuilding. Care to enlighten me? I'm not saying you're wrong, I am seriously agreeing that I know of no such letdowns. in my personal opinion (And many of my friends in the military agree) WW3 will be fought within the next 20 or so years between the United States/Japan/Indonesia and other Asian states versus China with Russia either sitting it out or maybe do some light fighting on the Chinese western frontier.

I hope you aren't referring to the rape convictions of soldiers stationed at those bases. I will never defend rape in any form, but to blame a government would be folly.
I know a lot of Japanese would like us to leave. I know that Abe is building the military so you can protect yourselves. Coming from a war criminal family such as his it would be hard not to question his motives. I do not know enough about the man to say one way or another. Asia is a powder keg. With bias and hatred as old as any middle eastern countries. I'm sure China still holds a grudge over the rape of nanking. I'm sure the Japanese fume during the Hiroshima and Nagasaki memorial dates. If it's "American" to believe that despite everything our country would defend yours? Then listen closely and you may hear me singing this next part. I'm proud to be an American. Where at least I know I'm free and I wont forget the men who died to give that right to me. etc. etc. ;)

P.S We have strayed from the op quite a bit. xoxoxo S.W.A.K. hehe

there was such a time majority of us thought so in the past too.
im pretty sure *most* of the soldiers at the bottom end are working hard with such an honor and respectful ideals, though.

anyways, all of you are trying to work out to not let ww3 happen and that is what we actually always really appreciate. and the existence of america as an "ally" has been a decent stopper so far. but the fact that america seems to believe in this stopping power lasts forever worries us a lot.

p.s.
id rather not discuss too much on this here to avoid unnecessary mess. if you really want to talk about it, talk to me in person.
