it's better in my book if they'll give you refuge from persecution. That's exactly what it is, too--persecution. The man did no wrong by the US legal system according to the whistleblower laws we have set up.
(Of course, this is assuming that the laws can be applied in a logical and fair manner, which in this case, they can't be, according to the justice department, because he wasn't an actual member of the CIA.... fucking horseshit of a country some of us have to live in.)
