The EU was a bad idea from the start. Lets hope the germans finish what they started and unite europe for the greater good.

It was a good Idea, but having different economies and different histories and lenguages makes it impossible. Richest north countryes will have a good wellfare while southern countries like Spanistan, Italy or Portugal, Greece and so produce for them. Now Germany controlls a big part of our debt and we work for them. Our politicians, fucking corrupt as hell, are working for their wallets and we, the population, sucks. The only funny thing it's to c our racist dumbasses feeling the same they do when they try now to enter other countries. Fuck Spain and fuck Europe. The only worth country to live in Europe right now is Sweeden, for their social state and how they do things, and England, for the respect and maturity they are showing for the Scotish independence.
And in a global view i would like to mention Marvin Harris, a famous antropologist, in wich books u can find what's globaly happening. I think we are at the same edge our antecessors where when the industrial revolution and so: Overpopulation everywhere. We need to expand, and if we don't, we'll c how things goes as Harris explain in, for example, Cows, Pigs, Wars and Witches: The Riddles of Culture. I really recommend it to everybody here.

Status Quo Economically - An increase in wealth and a refinement of the balance between leftist and conservative economic policy keep the wealth at a general level of distribution that allows rich people to become very rich, but poor people are assured some safety net, while the vast majority of citizens remain in the middle class.

Stability Politically - Nationalism starts to become less of a concern as people start to identify and support their region, rather than their own nation state, and economic pacts like the EU become more common-place in other areas of the world. This is made easier as English becomes more or less the de-facto world language. Trade becomes the focal point of political retaliation rather than invasion, and nations have great incentive to resolve their differences peacefully.

Tensions shift to lines drawn by socioeconomic status, in peaceful class wars marked by protest. Revolt, however, does occur in old quasi-feudal nations, as the internet becomes even more integrated into regular life.

Rise of the East - Asia rivals the western hemisphere economically, and there is no more de facto US Empire. Tensions exist between the two parties, but made possible through advances in modern medicine and great financial incentive, both parties turn instead to help Africa rise up as the new industrial provider of the developed world.

Even if someone managed to unite Europe the odds that some annexed country will want independence after 5-10 years is very high and after that it will spiral out of control. Especially Baltic countries are like cockroaches - lost and regained independence 5+ times.
But EU union is shit, nothing really good came out of it people only learned to steal even more money from it.

I don't think that is very likely. Africa being in the shitter is the status quo. They'll be fighting each other for a long time yet. They have constant wars and no end to problems. Also if you are referring to china, they are headed for a crash, whether they come out of it ahead or behind is debatable.

Africa is already developing as a provider of industry. There are automobile production plants in South Africa, and with modern advances in medicine there will be a population boom in Africa that will call for a demand in jobs in their major cities. Industry will provide the answer. I predict that will happen in 30 years, which is a long time at the pace the world is developing.

South africa yes. The rest of Africa is pretty much as backwards as it has always been. Lots of violence.

I would think resources will have a big play on what happens, mainly oil of course. From the stuff I've seen lately its looking pretty grim, as far as oil being available/affordable as it is for much longer. Its no secret why the U.S. is developing those massive bases over seas. I'm guessing they foresee potential conflict there over the last remaining larger oil taps. I would guess pretty heavy population decrease if oil did become very scarce. Also I will personally develop carpal tunnel and a brain tumor from playing this effin game so much.

You should see the algae that make diesel from the carbon in the air using sunlight.

Oh yea, I did hear a bit about that, but isn't it an issue of we use so much a year that the algae method wouldn't even scratch the surface of what we need? It might've been a biased doc I watched but I thought that's what they were getting at.
