I can understand why the color palates are so bland in most Fallout Games, 3 was a mistake with their Green Everywhere thing, I find that bright splashes of color should be human elements. Bright graffiti on a rock, or a base, scraps of bright clothing by those insane enough to wear it, things like that. There was a lot of land where people just weren't around, which is a good thing in my book.

In this one, population is much more closely packed, and there's a larger human element on the East Coast, especially up north. Towns are close together, and things are generally blobbed up.

What I really want to see is a game set in the South. NC, GA, Florida. Can you imagine finding Post-Apocalypse "Nuka-World"? Or massively overgrown irradiated swamps? The burnt shell of a Retro-futuristic Atlanta, or the various ecosystems around the Smoky Mountains? That would be fun as hell.

So, Boston huh? I am curious about how they'll justify Brotherhood presence that far East. Or the fact the oceans aren't green and poisonous with coastal cities being ravaged by tsunamis as the lore says. But a New York DLC wouldn't be far-fetched, that would be cool.

I have a theory about those crappy graphics: destructible terrain.

If that is true, they've finally realized a lot of my dreams. However, as far as Brotherhood presence; Vertibirds are a thing, as were various rocket technology and other airships. The suits aren't only Brotherhood though, it shows that the troops wearing them beforehand were more likely a larger army unit, like Marines or some other Special Forces, so they're probably not only restricted to The Brotherhood. The Institute probably knows how to use them, no guarantees that they're affiliated.

As for New York and Tsunamis, what if they've used jointly connected platforms and the Skyscrapers are acting as pylons for their aerial city?

Its hard to make an old 2d classic and translate that into a fun, successful mordern 3d game. takes alot of work and good design.

know whats not hard? being given full access to someone elses product, which is already great, and simply improving on it a bit, and reskinning it.

Yet people won't stop sucking obisidians cock for new vegas (and also relevant kotor 2). I love kotor 2 and new vegas, but seriously lone modders have done greater things with other peoples game, and with no budget, and limited access.

3D made it a lot easier for modding - thank you ID :)

While finding out how to get working sprites for Fallout has been some kind of science project ...

And no - i'd never suck Feargus, Chris, Darren or Josh ... - but i reguarly tab each of them on the shoulder once a week ;)

You cannot begin to imagine how much I despise you and those like you. Do you even understand the excrement that comes out your fingers and ends up here? It's hard to make a 2d classic well sure except nobody at bethesda did not a fucking one. And translate it into a "mordern" 3d game who the fuck asked them to? Takes a lot of good work and good design my ass it takes same crappy console tailored oblivion engine that they're still using on their second instalment of oblivion with guns, a bunch of underpaid code monkeys no designer whatsoever other than the marketing guy whose only goal was to remove anything that might force the two neurons of the average bethesda fan to form a synapse and a shitton of money dumped on marketing aka paying the so called gaming media and of course someone in senior management who understands people are stupid and if you pay someone to tell them shit tastes like cake they will end up asking why cake doesn't taste enough like shit and that needs to be addressed.

Obsidian may not be the best rpg maker but at least they have people who worked on actual fallouts and you coming here and claiming they get praised for modding other peoples game must be some singularity of irony seeing how obsidian tried to buy the falout ip which was raped long before it ended into beths hands. Oh and obsidian at least makes rpgs not shitty hiking simulators.

And the only reason obsidian even got to make new vegas was because beth really didn't expect actual fallout fans to hate on their turd so much so they thought to throw them a bone and it somewhat worked except the console kiddies got confused because it was you know trying to be an rpg rather than just pretend so now beth is pretending nv didn't exist.

Anyway dude whoever you are you are what is wrong with gaming today. Go buy some first day dlc bleah you make me sick.

Last I read, NV "doesn't exist" as far as the FO universe goes, so.... :?

What Interplay should have done was taken the Fallout IP to Steve Jackson, WotC, etc and turned it into a PnP RPG, though that was the time PnP companies were falling apart and a lot of mergers & acquisitions were made. (Hell, the original FO was based on the GURPS rules, so wouldn't have been anything to get some source material going.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
