Maybe this will come as a shock, but villages, towns, cities, kingdoms, they can only exist if they assert themselves in some fashion.
That given, we are willing to let _anybody_ live with us, provided they follow the zoning plan.
What I (and I believe others were as well) was pointing out was the weird assertion that Brogdar has some sort of moral high ground when it comes to removing other people's claims. It doesn't. What it has is the power as the game is set up and it's using it.
As I said, fine by me. It's a game based on conflict and this is part of it.
What intrigues me is that you are so upset by someone saying what you are doing is an exercise of power.
