That is the plan.

in terms of advancement settling in one area is very rewarding, while traveling long distances is most definitely not. are there any plans to beef up the latter?

With wagons, it might actually be viable to be a merchant to isolated settlements...or just hoard a wagon full of stuff before you settle down somewhere.

That said, I like wandering around the world, so I'm pro-traveler incentive.

jorb, the problem with seedbags is mainly that you can't automatically plant the best seeds (seriously, hand-picking them is just tedious, having to dump the bags in a chest and then sort them one by one is tedious), and you can't plant grass directly from them. I stopped using bags the moment my scrollwheel sorting actually started working since I no longer had to manually sort the seeds I wanted to replant.

Other than that, the wagons look great! =D Though on the teleportation issue, I think only hearthfire porting and mebe village porting should stay.

Pacho, I agree on the quality thing about seedbags but you can now plant grass directly from them.

Sleeping in wagons is a pretty neat idea, but I don't see it getting used often.
If you are sleeping in a wagon and someone steals from you during this time, will it leave scents?

Also, having to deal with that many chests would be a major pain in the ass. Any plans on adding a way to see chest contents or even interact with them without having to take them out and put them down on the ground?

Looks very nice!

Since lean-tos already work that way, it's pretty certain wagons will too. While we're on the subject, though, I wonder whether there's any way to account for the horses' safety and food on the trip...

Great! I wasn't aware that this was true for lean-tos. Thanks for clearing that up.

Plenty of room for troughs and chests/seed bags to hold food!
