You can't, don't even try. A character with literally base 10 perception would be able to see and reasonably track your scents with 20k exp*per from gear bonuses alone, no matter how high your int*stealth is (you'd need an outrageous amount).

Wow, I didn't know you could get to that high just from gear, thats kindof disappointing :(

I'm mainly looking to avoid faction battlegroups coming across my random scents and tracking me. But given that it seems like I would need like 300 int and 300stealth to even start to avoid it, I guess I dunno what to do really, other than learn to run fast.

Have enough constitution to swim comfortably (50 is enough with water bug), carry 2-3 buckets of great water on you, and have access to a character that has keys to your front gate (but don't carry them around outside).

OK, i can manage all that… It would still be more satisfying to turn round and valstrike them right in the face but i think if theres more than one of them its unrealistic :(

nice video, thats really impressive :D

but you can see that he has (moderately) higher stats than this opponent, which would not be the case if it was me… i have some ideas of what to try but noone to really test/practice it on.

My neighbour is definitely one of those bot-controlled alts. I noticed his small claim and memorized him. Few days later he appeared near my own claim (which is on huge lake coast) and he was on his way for mussels. I tried to interact but he totally ignored me and keep trying to collect mussels on my claim. But it looks like he doesn't have trespassing skill, so he was like: move to mussel, stand there for 15 seconds, move away 50 tiles or so, then go back to same mussel, stand there for 15 seconds... repeat. And he did this shit on the loop for about 10 times. Unfortunately I don't have his nickname, because I only memorized him, no kin (he ignored me, as I said). I dunno, maybe moderator or someone can ban him, or check out his activity: I can provide his position. I think it's totally possible to track who's alt he is by IP or something like that.

Sorry my english, again.

When i punched him he went down to 54 defense which means we have basically the same stats, if you punch someone to 56 def you both have the same ua.

If you don't like botting, then hunt bots down. You can get loads of curios from killing mountain bot + a skull.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Actually it is possible to stop bot abuse(thru i prefer to write bots, its fun).
Have any one played runescape?
There if you do one and the same thing for a random amount of time(for example wood chopping) some random event occurs, like genie appears from the wood, he asks you a question, preferably a human like, and if you dont asnwer or answer incorrectly something bad happens, like you are teleported to the maze(for bot it may be almost imposible to leave), once you leave it you appear in the same spot, if you answer it correctly you are given some nice little item.
