According to the wiki it's a 1 percent chance.
It seems about right to me, and I pick up every frog I see.

Nah, it's considerably less than that, probably close to that of a troll spawning. It's impossible to say for sure without confirmation from loftar though.

I have terrible luck with those kind of things so I don't even bother picking up frogs anymore the only good side of it is that I probably wont have a troll spawn on me while mining
