Oh my god no, why did you put this up here... I got traumatized by that game so hard I flinched when I saw the screenshot.
Anyway that's probably the best horror game I've ever played. It doesn't jump-scare you as much as it actually traumatizes you. I played with my friend because he wanted to show me the game, and after he left I played it a bit alone in the dark for maximum effect, uninstalled it and never looked back. Fuck that game.

Didn't this come out about 11-12 years ago (about same time as EVE) and was sub? Didn't know anyone had picked up since it and the anticipated sequel got squished. Or is this just an emulator someone has set up? I would think if this was being done in official capacity, there'd be more talk about it. It was fairly popular before its support funds got raided to make the sequel and caused the whole company to collapse.

I'm not sure about the years, but yes its the same one (played it when it was free-beta)

Its the official version. It seems some Russians(fans of the game) where given the opportunity to run/host the game (and its been running since jan 2014). At least that is what I understand about it.

Blackwood is a browser MORPG I'm working on.
I'm using 128x128 map for dev but the system can yet handle way bigger maps.

Main dev lines :
- Inspired by HnH / DF / uRW
- Turn based
- Players will be able to queue orders which characters will accomplish in a certain number of turns.
- Based on an island
- Big crafting system
- Perma-death
- Multiple character control (one player will be able to manage a full village, mate his characters give birth to new characters he will control).
- Somewhat realist

For interested players, I'll be looking for testers / designers in a few weeks

Though, as said in my post, I'm still in early development phase so there won't be testing until a few more weeks.
