Would have expected a little more inside from my fellow Sodom members. The nerf was absolutely necessary, you are just butthurt you can't abuse it anymore to powergrind. Let me take a different stance here.
Hunting still gives too much LP. Yes, that is right. It takes what, 5 minutes even with mms 10 and a bad sling to kill one boar and you still get 3k or 4k lp for that little time. Now compare that to building a house. Building a house isn't only more meaningful gameplay than shooting a boar and leave its corpse in the dust, it also takes way, way longer. I would estimate it takes at least about an hour to do so by yourself. Now I am not sure how much lp you gain from that total, but it is hardly more than you get from pressing on that shoot button 3 or 4 times. This is just a point I want to make, of course it would be better to just buff lp gain from building than nerfing hunting even more (lets leave macro possibilities out of the equasion here for a moment). Or is it really better to buff the lp?
With the current changes to how soil and crops work everything in the game is basically hard capped from a certain point onwards, so that puts a limit to the necessity of raising crafting skills as well. It will be pretty easy to level up a perfect crafter for one trade, with the current lp gains even for all trades. So if you buff the lp you go down the road of reducing the amount of grind and make competitive characters available more easily. That is a good thing. On the other hand you also allow single players to be a perfect jack-of-all-trades. That is a bad thing. Plus with this sort of a semi hard cap for all crafting skills there should have also been a way to deal with combat skills, because since equipment won't matter much anymore in combat due to its limited quality, the player with the time to grind 1k ua besides the 200 for all crafting skills wins the game.
I cannot really offer a solution to that last dilemma other than overhauling the lp system completely, but I guess jorb and loftar are still working on that anyway. The rest of you just has to deal with a change of absolute numbers that is true for everyone. Now you can't grind 1k ua anymore in 4 weeks, neither can anyone else. The guy playing 24 hours a day would have been ahead of you after those 4 weeks in any case. You just have to realize that with different numbers maybe 200 in a stat is awesome and not 500. So even if the devs were to nerf every single action to give 1 single fucking lp that wouldn't really change much other than demanding from you to erase those expectations for a good char you got with a different system from you head.
