I did all that stuff never felt like a grind before but now its just pointless boring crap i have to do to buy the next skill point.
You won't be able to believe in change unless you spend more time logged on, and the LP form curiosities will be a world of difference at 100% vs. 360%. You can use that time online to increase your intelligence to allow yourself to study more curiosities at a time. You're obviously the sort of person that wants to see rewards as you go along, so make sure you've always got room in your study screen for cone cows and dandelions (i.e. don't fill your study with 24 hour things like cat gold or primitive dolls, but have them on the side if you can).
Dig some sand/soil/worms, strip some branches and bark off of some trees, pick a fruit/nut/seed from each type of tree, fill a bucket, craft all the shitty wooden symbel items... You should be able to get enough LP to get started by discovering things. There are two very important things for all players in H&H: high quality resources and a safe storage location. Go look for that q80+ soil spot. If nothing else, people would trade you very valuable curiosities for it later. While you're searching, you can forage stuff and find more curiosities in the process. It'll take you 2 or 3 days of casual playing/being offline to get yeomanry, then you can build your home and keep your stuff safe. Work towards that palisade like before, etc. You are now playing to survive and to have the things you need/want to advance. What was your reason for being logged on before?
If you don't like it, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE WE NEED EVERY PLAYER WE CAN GET IT'S ALREADY SO EMPTY OUT HERE JORB WOULD CRY AND LOFTAR WOULD ALSO BE SAD I THINK DO YOU WANT THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE
Sure, the more people that enjoy the game, the better, but you can't expect a single game to appeal to everyone. Most people don't hate the new system, or they even like it. Regardless, the developers obviously put a lot of thought into this since they went through the effort of making sprites for all these new items and programming this new system into the game. I've been hearing about some mysterious "new LP system" for quite some time whenever the previous one would be knocked for its grindy feel. This is something they've decided to try and it's something lots of people are enjoying; the loss of one or two or even a few hundred players wouldn't really make a difference. Just take TeckXKnight's advice if you don't want to "struggle" through this early stage of the game if you insist on staying here.
