Tbh, the waiting isn't so bad once you finally get the skills you need by waiting and idling (ok I get it, i'll go do RL meanwhile).

I hate the fact that I'm forced to grind/farm curi's instead of doing what I really wanted. I have a very busy day and I hardly find over an hour/two to play H&H and those two hours are now spent farming curi's if I want to keep on track with the other players, instead of, i don't know, building stuff, mining, farming, foraging and generally doing stuff I would do in W4.
If any of these normal actions dropped decent curi's on a regular basis, without having to go farm other mats, I wouldn't mind this system.
But for now it just feels like an unnecessary chore (like farming daily quests in WoW for rep).

I think most of the problems would be solved if half of the people waited a week to start playing and joined pre-existing villages. They don't enjoy the hunter/gatherer stages and aren't helpful/productive villagers anyway (I don't want your damn hides, I want you to help me with this brick wall) so it won't be any love lost. So join in the post-scarcity stages so you may farm, mine, or do whatever it is you want to do. We're in a survivalist stage right now and we cannot fast forward through it like we could before.

Persistently, people bitching bitch about having to stand around idling. If at any point you're idling, you're clearly doing it wrong. There are Always more things to do, without exception. Things that vastly improve your life and your villages/friends/neighbors lives. If you don't want to do them and would rather just wait until you can just farm with seeds you didn't find behind walls you didn't build, then do that outside of the game. You'll be happier and we will be too. Win win!

but you still have to raise your base stats.... you have to get more intel to be able to put more things in the study box...raise your per/ex to find them, raise your dex so you can make better stuff.... its all still there, just reworked so you cant grind bloody baskets for an hour and get everything. You have to build that oven, and farm wheat, to make the high intel stuff to allow more study and more lp..Jorbonzola is going to be more valuable than gold!

Its no good having thirty high value curios if you can only use three at a time...intelligence intelligence intelligence

or add curios to study bar log out and get as far as i would doing what you just suggested in lp gains just not stats.

I did all that stuff never felt like a grind before but now its just pointless boring crap i have to do to buy the next skill point.
I fully look forward to jorb and loftar fixing several mechanics and bringing back updates, because at that time you chuckleheads are going to be more marginalized than lawn furniture in winter.

but your player will not advance... later game im assuming curios will take more attention... if you dont raise your intel then you simply wont be able to use them and you will still be studying cone cows in a months time

You won't be able to believe in change unless you spend more time logged on, and the LP form curiosities will be a world of difference at 100% vs. 360%. You can use that time online to increase your intelligence to allow yourself to study more curiosities at a time. You're obviously the sort of person that wants to see rewards as you go along, so make sure you've always got room in your study screen for cone cows and dandelions (i.e. don't fill your study with 24 hour things like cat gold or primitive dolls, but have them on the side if you can).

Dig some sand/soil/worms, strip some branches and bark off of some trees, pick a fruit/nut/seed from each type of tree, fill a bucket, craft all the shitty wooden symbel items... You should be able to get enough LP to get started by discovering things. There are two very important things for all players in H&H: high quality resources and a safe storage location. Go look for that q80+ soil spot. If nothing else, people would trade you very valuable curiosities for it later. While you're searching, you can forage stuff and find more curiosities in the process. It'll take you 2 or 3 days of casual playing/being offline to get yeomanry, then you can build your home and keep your stuff safe. Work towards that palisade like before, etc. You are now playing to survive and to have the things you need/want to advance. What was your reason for being logged on before?

If you don't like it, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE WE NEED EVERY PLAYER WE CAN GET IT'S ALREADY SO EMPTY OUT HERE JORB WOULD CRY AND LOFTAR WOULD ALSO BE SAD I THINK DO YOU WANT THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE
Sure, the more people that enjoy the game, the better, but you can't expect a single game to appeal to everyone. Most people don't hate the new system, or they even like it. Regardless, the developers obviously put a lot of thought into this since they went through the effort of making sprites for all these new items and programming this new system into the game. I've been hearing about some mysterious "new LP system" for quite some time whenever the previous one would be knocked for its grindy feel. This is something they've decided to try and it's something lots of people are enjoying; the loss of one or two or even a few hundred players wouldn't really make a difference. Just take TeckXKnight's advice if you don't want to "struggle" through this early stage of the game if you insist on staying here.
