I am surrounded by English-speakers. Until I put a claim up I couldn't turn around without finding someone babbling in English at me while they looted everything they could from my crates and drying racks. 5 times now my boat has been stolen, even though there was nothing in it, 3 times of which were while I had logged out in deep water in the middle of a lake or river and logged back in to be standing over deep water unable to move. Even more, they block my palisade with fires, pillage my resources, etc, etc.
Most Russians by the way introduce oneselfs as Greek or Pole for this reason.

Y'know if you go the the Russian Haven & Hearth site (havenandhearth.ru) and look at their forums, they seem to be as afraid of us as we are of them. Knowing this, I don't understand what provokes those large groups of Russians to attack the newbies. I even saw one topic there named "Anti-Russians are back!".

I dunno I never had any negative experiences with russians. Last world when I first started out a russian guy tried to help me out but I couldnt understand his english so that relationship didnt last long. In this world I encountered a russian village that was recently ruthlessly massacred but the plunderers seem to have left some thing which are useful to a noob like me. I managed to salvage a shitload of hides and bones. So yeah I have nothing against the russians of HnH.

Very easy answer: We hate them, they hate us. We have an anti-russian group, they have an anti-american(english player) group. Very very simple. The only reason why we dont split the world in half is because:
1: English players are still an immediate threat to english players
2: Russian players are still an immediate threat to russian players.
3: Both groups have people in them that know not everyone from the other group are dicks.
