I like the ninja aspect of mm, you don't need to be next to people, you don't need to play silly chasing games, you don't need to knock down walls and leave battery scents

you creep up to the wall while your victim thinks he's safe inside his walls and you splat his brains all over the pavement in a couple of shots before they even realize what's happening

by that time you're gone and they are clueless as to who did it :P

might seem faggy but I like the idea of keeping my char well out of harmz way :]

I have no experience with PvP but a nice powered arrow shot seems like a good way to initiate combat because I'll still be UA ontop of mm and still be capable of close combat

but that's just the mm side of the arguement, melee also has lots of benefitz, I suck at making decisions :(

I'm not sure, but I think someone has said that rangers still have a point in sieges, since its pretty hard to get enough deflection AC to stop arrows from damaging your armour. So in large battles, having a ranged "phase" while they are breaking your wall or whatever can mean that its easier to break their armour once they make it into melee range, i guess...

caveat: i don't know how much deflection AC its possible to get really, probably around 850 or something, so an rbow would not do that much damage to someone's armour if they had that much deflection. Especially seeing as they probably have absurdly high agility.

Pretty decent removal in limited.

Wha, are you saying you KO'd a peep who was 5 times stronger than you? Pls give details. If this is true, then my thoughts on the combat system has changed!

Pretty situational too, but I guess it always makes the cut and gets in the deck. Although I don't know that edition anymore and thus have no idea about the limited environment :P

Yeah, Idk. Zendikar limited is disgustingly fast. I don't think I'd play more than two under any circumstance.

Didn't know you played again. I stopped following it completely when they removed the stack from combat...

I play a bit online from time to time. I am not sure what to think about that change. I understand why they made it, as it simplifies combat a ton, and as the damage-on-stack -> Activate ability shenanigans always felt kind of gamey. It did however remove a lot of strategical/positional thinking from combat, which does suck quite a bit.
