I ain´t saying they´re more likely to fight than run. Itßs just tht they have about 1 in 5 chance of staying to fight while with random people it´s more like 1 in 50.

If a person knew that they could not win (say they were outgunned or were up against more experienced players), it wouldn't make sense at all for them to stay and fight. Even if they were in a scenario in which they were going to die (could not escape), it wouldn't make much sense to fight and do as much damage as possible (often the damage dealt will be nil) before they die; they should look for any possible opportunity for survival even at the point of death on the chance that they may actually be given an unexpected window of opportunity to escape (say their opponent messes up somehow). Of course, if they can fight back and win, they might as well do so. However, if they can't win, it's best to live to fight another day.

Really, this whole "PKer honour code" of people fighting head-to-toe to the death is kind of silly. I think it's just what PKers say because they want to try to score some kills. I generally scoff at the concept. Besides, the only fair fight is a fight that I win.

I just don't understand why people run immediately rather then give 1v1ing a try. They run before they even figure out their opponents stats.

I would say that the vast majority of people are clueless when it comes to the pvp system, and they lack the confidence to try to see if they can fight. Plus, it's probably assumed that if a person attacks you, it's because they believe that you are weak enough to be defeated.

The PVP system needs a massive overhaul, and it needs to be simplified in order to make it more user friendly. People may say that that will make this game less hardcore and less unique, but a user friendly PVP system is crucial if this game is to be successful in the long run. If only a relatively few people understand the PVP system, then there's something wrong with it.
