I am working on features to allow you guys to start trying out the game as I write this. I want to get you all in-game asap! I will have something for you guys to interact with in a day or two. We only have two developers counting myself, and it takes a lot of time to create an awesome game.

Good man, I look forward to r0xx0ring n00bs as a wolf...or slime...or something.

tempwad, here is what HTML5/WebGL is capable of:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIYmxPdtsl4

It is far ahead of Flash in terms of capabilities, because it is an actual OpenGL implementation in the browser. It also requires NO download. =)

in this video are 2 objects. show me something with 500 objects on screen, and i'll believe in power of flash/html5 capabilities for MMO.

upd:
yes, i've played Realm Of Mad God, but objects there are very simple. show me something more complicated.

The Topia Online engine provides a solid 60 FPS with hundreds of animated entities on the screen on ANY browser. I will work on a video this week to prove it to you. Web GL is extremely powerful, and rivals Flash in terms of performance.

You can also check out the combat video on the Topia website to see how the characters move.

There isn't even room for 500 objects on the canvas, but im going to make you a demo that you can test in your own browser with as many objects as you want.

Is there a pimping option? And if not, how long until the pimping option.

are you referring to cosmetic upgrades or actual pimping?

You can't have one without the other imo

Ok. So from what I understand, in each zone there is an obelisk. New obelisks/zones are created when an area becomes more populated, but areas can also disappear when they lose population. Here are a few questions:

1. Can you choose what obelisk you start at when you create a character so friends or i.e. the H&H community can play together, or does it spawn you at a random obelisk?

2. When a zone starts to lose population and is about to disappear, what happens to everything you built in it? Can one person keep a zone from disappearing as long as they're active?

3. Hirelings are made through the obelisk. Do you have to be the keeper of the obelisk or is everyone allowed to make hirelings? Also, what other benefits are there to being a keeper besides being able to alter the zone itself.
