possible, but most likely not from IRC. i would normally recognize the names appearing in IRC channels, and those who often talk there are not in the list either. possibly mixture of these forums and from other games.

another possibility; the hacker may have included his own account or his alt account to fake his innocence.

Going by the "short list" it confirms what someone wrote earlier, all of those people have posted in ICA between Jun 03 and Jul 15.

Forum logging in is pretty rare process. Enter captcha once a week is not so hard.

I don't let my browser save cookies, I have to log in 5-6 times a day.

I don't mind captcha's though if these attacks continued.
