well looks like the graveyard is out of the question. wont be able to go a single hour without everyone and their mother trying to rob the graves... does collecting the skull destroy the body by any chance? or was that mentioned and I just missed it?

Does not destroy or modify the skeleton looks wise.

I'd hazard a guess skulls will be worth studying mid/late char developement wise if you kill someone with 2mil+ LP. 11 att is nasty-ish, but the 1x1 is quite compact and once you have the int to ignore that cost 20k/48 hours is decent.

The trick being to know who you killed and if their skull is worth studying. I shall now get everyone in the entire world to rename themselves and their alts to NotAnAlt. Muhahahahahahahahaha.

I'm really worried about this skull curio.
Once enders will be ready to tell you lp prevently, you can kill a man just to see if his skull is worth studying. If not, drop it.
And men died for nothing.
+1 reason to be crazy bored player that kill at sight.

I really wonder if devs do all what they can to fuck off this game.

I think you guys are trolling with the skull curio. Until i see it myself I'm not believing that.
Also doubt jorbtar wants to reward people for murdering, when he already said the reason that he removed the lp for murdering someone, was because killing them is reward enough, something along those lines.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Just make an alt and kill it off quick. Then you can see for yourself.

You can tell without a ender, by simply placing it in the study to use the mental weight as a gauge.

5 = Newbie
10 = Rookie
20 = Regular
30 = Decent
40 = High skill
If your int is high and can't fit a skull in, then that skull is even greater in mental weight!
If you have low int and can't fit someone's skull, it does make it harder to gauge the potential skill level.

Since a lot of people know about skulls by now, people won't leave skeletons alone and will always loot them, so you won't come across a 'free dibs' on high value skulls... Unless you are extremely lucky and a decent player dies to a bear recently.

If someone's theory of 100 hours for 250k lp is correct... Players with a week (168 hours) of gameplay will net you a potential 420k LP, or 4200 base LP.
Then again, the odds of these players dying is drastically reduced to less than 10~20% (based on how strong players seems to be compared to average players) after that 1 week period... If they managed to get 420k LP for decent skills and decent UA levels.
Unless you have a player of equal or greater skills and stat kill them. But other than that, they won't die to the average joe.

I tested sparring in UA with someone who has a 3 point advantage in stats and skill level... A punch took out 55% of my def in one shot, so I'd hate to see what happens with a 10-30 point advantage.
